A much needed change was required in my home. After speaking with several contractors through Trusted Pros, it was quickly clear that Tom, owner of Interior Impressions was the only choice. Toms' references were impeccable and that fact that he is very familiar with my neighbourhood was very reassuring.
However, the more impressive facts were in the quality and commitment Tom exhibited during the renovation in my home. He and his team, removed cupboards off of two walls, neatly and in a very timely fashion. They then cleaned up after themselves and further cut the drain and water inflow pipes, capping them very neatly. The final touch of this room was the plaster repair. Very neat and expertly done.
The biggest job was the removal of 2 more plaster walls and hidden door. Again, very expertly done with minimal damage to ceiling and walls. Tom then completely resealed all areas, you would never know what the state was before, it is like an entirely new house! In the middle of this tear down, it was discovered that there was a heating duct that would be very costly to move to the other side of the house. No problem, again, Tom very neatly created a drywall box column. Visually it is almost invisible and functional in that he affixed outlets and wall switches that were left hanging from the demolition into this box.
Much to my chagrin, the two rooms had completely different stucco. Again, not a problem! Tom stuccoed the entire ceiling to be monochoromatic, changed the ceiling light and Viola! another upgrade for this old home!
The piece de resistance has to be the stair case. The entrance stairs were originally flanked by one of these walls. We discussed all and decided a stairwell is the best option. I found the spindles on Kajii, and just had to purchase the railing and ballast. Tom, very neatly and expertly fitted the spindles, you would think they were an original fixture.
I can't say enough positive things about Tom and his work. Overall he did many many little things because he cares that added value to my home whether it finding economical solutions, recommending other options to enhance and provide value along with his expert craftsmanship and quality of work./
Tom, there will be many other projects to complete on this house throughout the years. I've saved you on speed dial as you are the only contractor I will call.
Many, Many thanks for all your hard work.
We initially hired Tom and his company from your site to install 3 brand new toilets in our family home. Tom arrived on time, was polite, enthusiastic and was so efficient - we asked him to come back again! All the work Tom does is as if he was doing it for his own home and he makes you feel like your home is as important to him as it is to us. All the years you have hired contractors to come in and you feel like you are bothering them from their busy schedule OR your job is too tough OR they don't have time to do something else you forgot about OR you need 4 contractors to do what you need - Tom is the answer ! Fabulous work - pleasant - courteous and professional.
A true gem - I would not hesitate to recommend his work to any of my family or close friends !!!
Thanks Tom !
Tommy Giovinazzo did nice work on coordinating what the final projects would look like. He was resourceful in recommending options for both projects.
Tommy was very efficient with all phases of the project. The labour intensity of this work is no concern to him and his team. He gets it done down to the finest detail. I swear they took out every single tiny nail and staple when removing decrepit carpeting from the stairs. No fast, or easy feat!
Particularly with the living-room flooring install, the turnover was fast.
I provided a picture (attachment) of what I wanted in a shed, and that is what the final product was - not only picture perfect, but functional too.
I really appreciated the final outcome and months later, my living floor still looks fabulous. The shed nicely houses my gardening garbs and patio furniture.
Tommy and crew know how to beautify your home or eliminate your home repair problem.

Tom and Joe saved us! We had a massive sewage drain blockage and leak in our basement in late August. We hired another company to take care of the outside pipe replacement. When work had to be done inside our house, we immediately thought of Tom and Joe. They had previously done some work in our home: gutting and replacing the basement bathroom, building a wall-to-wall master bedroom closet, and patching up the walls and ceilings after the elimination and replacement of knob and tube wiring. We've always known them to be problem-solvers, detail-oriented, efficient, clean, and reasonable -- in short, the ultimate professionals.
Tom and Joe went above and beyond the call of duty. They excavated the basement floor, took out parts of the kitchen and the bathroom, and replaced our pipes from the kitchen to the bathroom all the way to the side of the house (probably about 40 meters). They really tried to save parts of the kitchen and the bathroom and not demolish everything. They accommodated our schedule so that we could use our sink and shower. Since the other company that we hired to work on the outside was not as competent and efficient as Tom and Joe, they had to deal with the other company's slack. For instance, Tom ended up wading through some "bad stuff" (just think about what goes through sewage pipes) when he had to disconnect and connect the pipes from the inside to the outside through the foundation walls.
After the pipe replacement, Tom and Joe put back the basement kitchen, bathroom, and studio apartment. Since we didn't have a car and we didn't have time to shop, we consulted with them about what we wanted in the basement, but really relied on their good taste and our limited financial budget for the materials. For the studio apartment, kitchen, and landing area, they chose and laid this wonderful hardwood floor, which matched the tiles on the basement entrance hallway. In the kitchen, they reconfigured the layout, selected and installed countertop and a new sink and faucet, and built a new eat-in counter. To help save us some money, they recycled some of the upper and lower cabinets. In the bathroom, they saved the cased-in shower, toilet, and sink (which they installed several months ago). They put in new tiles and put everything back in order.
This was quite a monumental task, but they completed it within a week. This emergency left us emotionally, physically, and financially spent. But we knew that we were going to be in good hands with Tom and Joe, and they did not disappoint. We plan on remodeling our main kitchen by this summer, and only Tom and Joe will be handling that, for sure!
