Jia Xin Renovation

Beware of this "company". We got them recommended by our counter top contractor. They did a bathroom, painting of our condo unit, kitchen reno and laminate flooring installation. There was 2 guys that showed up and they were really fast, however, leaving a whole bunch of deficiencies. For example: dishwasher was not hooked up properly, paint deficiencies all over our unit, garbage can was promised but never installed, wobbly laminate pieces, wobbly kitchen cabinet doors etc. As we had to take a break to get another contractor to install AC unit and ductwork, we agreed with them for them to come back in 1.5 months - when they would finish an additional bathroom, crown moulding as well as fix all of their rushed deficiencies from before. However, once we tried to contact them after the time elapsed initially we were led by them to believe that they are still coming to finish the job, and on the day we were supposed to meet at our place review the steps remaining these guys never showed up and the owner (he goes by Louis Liu) just texted saying "he isn't taking the project as he has no workers". Meanwhile, i found out that the same day this guy disappeared he is posting kijiji ads advertising home renovations and kitchen remodeling. Now we have to get another contractor to fix all these deficiencies at additional cost. Empty promises from this company stay away.
