I called Luke to build some cabinets for my office. He took the time to explain to me every aspect of what the project would entail. The cabinets he built were custom made and fit perfectly in my office. A true professional.
I hired these guys based upon their listing under Burlington Ontario DRYWALL CONTRACTORS in Handy Canadian.com , They described themselves in their profile as College graduates with 3 1/2 years of EXPERIENCE in the industry. I explained my tight time frame and the person I spoke with (Luke)a principle in the Company committed them to showing up and getting it done...
The first day they worked only a few hours and within 5 minutes it was clear to me they had little or no drywall experience , The second day Luke went off to Wasaga Beach leaving my job in the hands of a sincere but inexperienced 18 year old who tried his best but clearly was not a drywall professional .. the results were a predictable disaster.
Keep in mind, I was paying these guys $25 CASH/hr!! based upon their willingness to meet my urgent time frame and drywall experience.
Trying to be fair , I called Luke and said I was very disappointed in their misrepresented skills and experience ,and offered to allow them to finish IF they would show up with EXPERIENCED drywallers and get it done......Luke still 150 miles away in Wasaga beach said he was unable to do so and had no answer when I asked him why he took a job which he clearly had neither the skills, staff or intention to finish..... he had no answer.....
I would have rated these clowns a 0/5 except that the poor young guy dumped at my site and abandoned was sincere , polite and did his best.
Under no circumstances would I recommend these clowns for any sort of work they are unethical and I would suggest that HandyCanadian.com remove their misleading Ad from the local services directory if you wish to maintain any credibility as a site for local Contractors
It is now costing me much more to have their mess fixed by real professionals
thanks for investigating this situation
