We were very impressed with Jim's knowledge and explanation of what was necessary to repair the foundation. We found he provided reasonable pricing and most of all he was reliable showing up when he said he would and finishing the job in just a few days. Pricing included resealing/waterproofing the wall and wrapping the wall in some kind of waterproof barrier membrane and putting the yard around the house back together and reinstalling the original walkway. We did ask Jim to expand our walkway and he had no issue with this and was very accommodating, the extra work was also given at a good price. He re seeded the lawn and made sure the site was clean and tidy before he left. We found his work exceptional and you can tell he knows his craft and he takes pride in his work, his assistant was also very hardworking and personable. We highly recommend him and if I need his service again I would not hesitate to call him or recommend him. Thank you Jim we truly appreciate your hard work and honest reliable service that you provided. Note: I spray painted the window well and waterproof barrier just to blend it in with the stones and walkway better.

Jim started the job on time and he completed the work on the specified date. His estimate for the work provided was bang on. He also completed a couple of small jobs (pulling stumps and installing a french drain). He provided insight and information to our ongoing water issues. He left our yard clean of debris once the job was completed.

Jim Armstrong was on time; very courteous and very easy to communicate with. He explained what was involved, the cost and when he could do it. He was honest, saying my porch could probably withstand another year or two with a coat of paint. Jim was not in a hurry, calm and efficient. A client of mine had a new home foundation installed. Jim's dedication to details, knowledge, expertise and communication before, during and after the huge job was exceptional! I give this man and his crew a 10 out of 10!

I have no complaints with the work done on my house. The 2 workers were here for a couple of days, completing their work as per our agreement. It was a difficult job, but the end result was excellent, and looks great. The workers arrived on time and at the end, left the work areas very clean.

Jim's Property Management has received employee and/or sub-contractor complaints
Complaint: Worked for Jim for 4 days, no complaints (on the contrary) and was told on a Thu that I wouldn't be needed on Fri but for sure the following Mon/Tue. Never heard from him again, didn't pay me, didn't answer of my repeated emails, phone calls and FB messages. Saw him in the street 2 months later and knocked on his pick-up window; he looked at me and drove off. i only wish to be paid for what I legitimately worked, now having to pursue legal action.

I did not realize that Google does not allow reviews that have been made elsewhere, so yes, they did remove my review; nothing to do with its validity. Jim threatened to call the police weeks ago which I encourage, as well as Employment Standards, though he still has not and I am sure he won't. I filed a formal complaint with ES on June 25, but there is a large backlog so will wait a little longer before proceeding with small claims court.
Jim did not pay me cash or any other means and had not even received my time-sheet, nor did he respond to my repeated inquiries therein (I have saved all correspondence). I would never have accepted the job as 'under the table work', nor would I have purchased new work boots and a driver's extract for four day's labour.
Reply From Jim's Property ManagementThomas is not being honest, the fact that i paid him cash on the Thursday was a big mistake. It seems that i should have given him a cheque in order to stop Thomas from being able to claim that he has not been paid. Thomas posted this same claim on Google, which was removed by google. Thomas has now put me in a position where i will now have to call the police and have him either cautioned or charged with harassment.Please disregardthis review as it is a non truth and further, this is another attack to try and take me for a double pay. Thank You!

For most cases, labour is not included in the warranty, this will not be the case should the defect be brought to light as a case of poor installation.
