Kay2 Contracting

Complaint: I was an employee of Kay2 Contracting and was expected to operate a vehicle that had ongoing safety and mechanical issues. I addressed these issues with my boss Moe and instead of pulling me off my daily duty of material pick-up he had me fill out safety sheets with inaccurate information. There were no trailer breaks on the vehicle and no maintenance done causing the brake like to break while I was driving amongst several other safety issues. My direct supervisor Scott who was in charge of operatons for landscaping was informed and he addressed it with Moe directly who ultimately made the decisions within the company and still nothing was done to ensure my safety. I am posting this compalint so that Kay2 Contracting will be accountable to the safety standards required for employee's in the future and so that going forward no one will be hurt because the rules aren't followed.

Ashly, The only incident that we recall is the first day you started working when you drove the 2004 Ford with the Dump trailer and this vehicle was new to landscaping. Back then you got pulled over 1 block away from the office due to the lights not working on the truck and the E brake not working. At that time we had you picked up and driven back to the office. Moe had the truck towed even though it was extremely close to the shop, had everything professionally repaired and paid all your tickets as well! There is a file full of service and repairs on the vehicle you drove including the tow and repairs from that day. As well, at that time Kay2 didn't have a Saftey program so I don't know where you got the "fake safety sheets" from. I suggest that you refrain from posting false allegations in an attempt to damage our company image. All our Saftey sheets and inspections are filled out daily and reviewed daily and keeping our employees and others on or around the job safe is our top priority. Although these allegations you have written are untrue, as a side note for your future endeavours, as an employee it is your right to refuse any unsafe work and your responsibility to report it immediately.
