Joe and his crew were fantastic. He impressed me with his knowledge of what was needed, how to accomplish it ensuring a quality job, yet suggesting ways to save costs where appropriate. He communicated well always keeping me informed of the progress and any decisions that needed to be made along the way. It was a pleasure dealing with him and would strongly recommend him to others.

We hired Joe at the onset of this project and he was involved with all of the drawings, permits, trade quotations and interior design concepts. Joe is probably one of the most patient people that I have come across in the construction industry. I believe that Joe, his trades and his in-house guys really made this reno go off without a hitch. His guys and trades very always respectable and presentable at all times no matter what the work was for the day. I had very bad nightmares in the beginning about horrible contractors and jobs going sideways but with Joe and his crew they persevered everyday right from day one. They will here everyday and gave 100% everyday.
The original cost of our reno did go up because of my wife's dozen changes but Joe never took advantage of change order extras. This project was what he calls " an open contract concept" meaning we seen where every penny went and exactly what his profits were.
Bottom line, this is a contractor that I would hire again if we ever did do another sizeable renovation again.

Complaint: Joe with KDL Carpentry hired me as a subcontractor to complete a concrete repair job on one of his projects for $3200.00. I covered the cost of the concrete delivery, pump truck , rebar and labour. Which cost me a total of $2800.00. I did this for for a very fair price because he showed me multiple other larger projects that the said he would give me work on. It has now been over 9 months and Joe has not paid me for this job. He has not returned any of my emails and blocked my phone number. I talked with the strata that hired him and they said they have paid him for the job in full. I have not been given any explanation as to why I have not been paid. My advice to other contractors, do not work for Joe Cesar.
