Lenny responded quickly to my requests. He gave me a written estimate and finished in good time and under budget. He was efficient, conscientious, prompt, pleasant and upbeat. He took pride in doing the job well with as little disruption as he could. I would jive hi everyone again.
Lenny did the original renovation when I bought my house a decade ago and recently replaced the roof on what once was a carport and is now part of the house. I am very happy with my new roof and I know I’ll have Lenny back to do more, as there is always a project brewing.
He was the worst contractor we have ever had work for us, extremely hard to deal with, dishonest, and a hot head. He gave us a final job price but also had $35 per man per hour on the contract which he explained to us how he arrived at his estimate. He made a claim to the CRT (small claims) for $3500 over est which he lost due to poor workmanship and mistakes. Here is a link to the claim decision.

Rick & Marianne McCollum were made aware that I initiated a claim for wages owing on July 23 2018. I finished working for Rick and Marianne McCollum on March 18 2018. I would think that if there were any issues with my work, integrity or my attitude towards them that they would have written this review then. It is now March of 2019.
Now the appeal period is over. It appears that Marrianne McCollum is viewing this as an opportunity to take advantage of. She has taken to the internet to attack my character and abilities. I realize that the people who know me will simply get a chuckle out of this. Unfortunately a lot of people who hire me do not know me personally and her accusations are very damaging to my reputation.
After the Civil Resolution Tribunal made thier decision on January 30 2019, we had 28 days to appeal and take this to a provincial judge. The tribunal judged my contract to be clear and valid, I decided not to pursue any further. This was not only about the money, but how the McCollum's treated me. Leading me along believing that I would be payed for my work and then telling me to take my tools and leave with only a days worth of work left. This was an hourly contract with an estimate for time. On the second day of work they were made aware that the estimate for time was not valid and had the opportunity to hire another contractor at that time. They decided I was still the best man for the job.
At the heart of this is a signed contract and a customer who refuses to acknowledge what has been explained to them and has decided to disregard the terms of that contract in favor of attacking my integrity and abilities in order to justify their position andto not pay for the labor to assemble their 50'x32'x18' steel building. There was no reasoning with these people.
In the decision, they take the McCollum's at there word without any supporting evidence, that I had made mistakes. On the decision page under Jurisdiction and Procedure 6. "The tribunal may accept as evidence information that it considers relevant, necessary and appropriate, whether or not the information would be admissable in a court of law". So the Civil Resolution Tribunal does not have to follow rule of law. Nice.
If you would like access to the submissions that led to this decision contact me and I will provide access. The McCollum's say one thing on one page then the opposit on the another page.
Decide who is what for yourself.
Take a look at some of the projects I have done and decide if you would want me to build for you.
