Horrible. Took months longer than promised. Job was left unfinished and shoddy. We had to hire an electrician to fix the mistakes made. Workers were told to use the basement entry and instead they tramped through the entire house with dirty boots. Helped themselves to a lamp from the living room to use in the reno and broke it. We are still finding stuff they didn't do properly (cracked tiles, unpainted surfaces, light fixtures not installed or installed backwards, the list goes on). I can't understand how anyone hires them. Do your homework; stay away from Manson.
RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN IS RIGHT!!! Geoff is a real salesman... He spoke of managing weekly production schedules with timelines and full records of work completed each week with regular budget reviews and a completion date that seemed appropriate for the project. When his workers were caught on surveillance lounging around, leaving the property, stealing hours we had already paid for, he tried to correct it. They did it again and when I asked that they pick up production instead of standing around eating, drinking... one yelled at me and left the site. When the cost plus agreement started getting expensive, we asked for a quote for the remainder of the project. The quote was outrageous. We were assured it was cheaper to continue cost plus, we were getting closer to completion. The job was to be completed mid-Aug. Mid-October the deck is half done, over budget. The cut list for wood had 48 peices of 12' 1"X10" red cedar plus two other specialty cuts. I asked the carpenter (who replaced the one who quit mid summer), to confirm what it was for and I learned all that wood (almost $4K) was not for our job. He was confused because Geoff said he compiled the list with him. That carpenter was gone after this incident. When a concrete truck drove over our septic field, the one Geoff said would cost $800 actually ended costing us $2646.15!! Geoff said he would "take care of " the invoice to reflect not only that overcharge, but said the driver would pay for damage - the septic inspection was $795. He agreed the concrete cost per meter seemed too high... in the end, he told the concrete company to take his name off the invoice and put ours on it and send it to us directly. I fought tooth and nail to get him to take responsibility, or wasn't going to pay him for something we didn't agree on... he offered to pay half and if I didn't he wrote: "I will have to put a lean in place and begin a small claims case". RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS COMPANY!
Run from this company; especially if you are from out of town and cannot check on the quality of work they have been hired to do. A simple renovation dragged on for months, yet I was asked to pay as "{the scope of Work" was not done, or was executed so badly, I have had to hire contractors to complete and redo jobs that were paid for. We paid this company tens of thousand of dollars, and contractors are looking at "the scope of work" and shaking their heads in disbelief. Emails requesting refunds were unanswered, and we are left having to pay for repairs that have been already paid for.
