Summary: If you can get Mike Bles and his crew, you are guaranteed a first class job. Fast, honest, hard working and ethical. Our deck is a showpiece. Mike did it for 25% less than the next best quote, and he stuck to his quote. He did (and is doing) a large reno on our house, and has turned it from a mid-century yawn-fest into a jaw-dropping, exquisitely comfortable showpiece, and at a reasonable price. The crew cleans up every day. The music is kept at a reasonable level. They come in on weekends, if needed. Mike runs a tight ship: one guy swore on site, and was let go that day. Mike and his crew get the job done, on time, and on budget. If he thinks your idea is dumb or impractical, he tells you, then comes up with a better idea at the same (or less) cost. We will use Mike and his crew for as long as we can. We have a fair amount of experience with contractors, have built a custom home, and renovated several other homes, and Mike is as good as they come. Grab him while you can.

Mike and Justin are they dynamic duo when it comes to composite decks. These guys have brought their years of building experience from Edmonton to Victoria. Not only are they friendly and great to deal with, they have an eye for detail and quality not found these days in a lot of contractors. They care about their projects and bend over backwards to meet, and exceed, the customer's expectations! We could not be happier with MB Renovations, the quality of their craftsmanship, work ethic and how straightforward it was dealing with them. I would highly recommend them.

We then had Mike back to build us a custom hot tub surround that makes it look like the hot tub is built into the deck! Mike used the left over composite decking and his imagination and came up with the layout and idea. Could not be any happier!

Mike met with us and gave a quote a starting date and completion date. These dates were precise. The quote was very accurate and when asked to do a few add-ons to the job he was easy to deal with and fair when pricing the work. We were very happy with the finished product and Mike and his crew were hard working and low profile. Left the site clean and tidy. We are planning to have Mike back to renovate a small bathroom in the near future.

Mike, Justin, and his crew are exceptionally hard workers, efficient, and reliable. They completed a huge job (drywall, flooring, doors, closets, railings, lighting, bathroom, kitchen, painting) in six weeks, working seven days a week in order for us to move in on time. Mike took care of all the sub crews and communicated regularly. We will have them back for more projects.

Mike built a covered pergola for our back deck this past fall. It turned out even better than we imagined. He's fast and does high quality work. It took us awhile to commit to this project; we had an idea of what we wanted, but knew we had to find the right person to make it fit with our existing backyard aesthetic. What impressed me most about Mike was that he 'got' what we were looking for right away. He made a number of good design suggestions, added some nice details and when we were ready to commit, it was built in 3 days.

He's really good at what he does. I have recommended his company to several people, and when we are ready to do our kitchen reno, we'll definitely go with him. We were also pretty happy with the cost.

Can't say enough about MB Construction and Renovation, in particular, Mike Bles( and his right hand man, Justin) This deck was major undertaking in my mind, so the time frame he gave me for completion(2-3 weeks)I thought was pretty unrealistic. Man was I wrong! These guys know how to work! In and out in 6 days! They were organized, respectful, and most important,showed up on time! (Very important to me.) The quality of the build was absolutely first rate and definitely has improved the curb appeal of our home as well as its value. Mike is very experienced obviously. He is all about customer satisfaction. I would not hesitate to recommend him based on my experience.

My wife and I bought our house with the intention of upgrading both the deck and kitchen. We had a big yard with room for a larger deck, and our kitchen needed more counter/cupboard space.

Mike absolutely blew our minds with his upgrades!!

Our deck was a 10'x12' basic rectangle. Now it's a 700sq.ft. monster with multiple levels, bench seating, bar ledges, privacy screens & a 6 man inserted hot tub.

The original kitchen was nice, but small. Again Mike thought outside the box and came up with a great plan. He used the space from an old closet, and shifted the wall to add an 8' length of counter space complete with glass cabinets, sliding drawers & a mounted microwave. All perfectly matched to the existing 10 year old kitchen.

Without a doubt, MB Renovations will be the only team I ever hire for future work!

I liked these guy because they helped me out in a pinch. I had a tenant damage my condo suite bathroom and i needed somebody that I could trust to just take care of everything without supervision. Within a couple days Mike had finished the bathroom up, found some other deficiencies and made my condo rentable.

MB renovations has completed multiple renovation projects for me over the last 5 years, and has done a great job every time. MB completely renovated the main floor of my first house in NW Edmonton, which included a kitchen and bathroom. Mike made me feel comfortable right away with his personality and knowledge, and helped walk me through the whole process. He brought up some great ideas for the kitchen and did an impressive job tying the hardwood flooring together through multiple rooms of the house. The project took a little bit longer than the 3 weeks he quoted me, but I couldn’t have been more happy with the results!

When I purchased my next house in September, I knew the exterior needed a major facelift and I quickly called up Mike. He went out of his way to get in asap and ensure the project was finished before the cold weather hit. On the front of the house he re-built a new deck, installed stone around the front door and face of the deck, and installed new trim and hardi board siding. He found some hidden issues from the previous deck installation, and was very informative in explaining why we had to fix them, and worked to ensure they wouldn’t put the project behind schedule. Once again, the results were impressive, and I get compliments from neighbours all the time with how awesome it looks.

MB Renovations does high quality work and will always be my first call when I need something done. I would recommend MB to anyone who’s looking for a positive renovation experience.
