I wish I could give this company 0 stars. First of all there was little to no planning put into my renovation, the owner (I felt) did not listen to what I truly wanted and as a result, I got a bathroom that I am in no way happy with. I found the owner to be quite condescending in his manner of speaking to me and any concern I had was simply brushed off. The renovation of my only bathroom took double the time of the original estimate and the cost went up 50% without any warning at all. Due the end price of this renovation it subtracted from the value of my home, it did not add value.
My only request was that I wanted a full sized tub, and when I found one that I liked I was told they could make it work. They couldn't. The tub was bought when the space was completely open so to relook at the original design would have been easy before the work was started, but they did not do that. Instead they took over a week to redo all flooring and plumbing a total of 3 times. Only to have to completely go back to the drawing board for a 4th time.
His electrician left the cover off of my electrical panel, left lights hanging from my ceiling, light switches hanging from my wall and left electrical junction boxes in my attic just lying in the insulation. None of this is up to code. My washer's breaker very often gets tripped when I am doing laundry. The shelving that was installed in not level. The concrete countertop that was made and installed cost me $1650 (a price which was never discussed) and is cracked and never sealed so it looks awful. Also, the showerhead leaks water when the faucet is turned on and leaks at the tap when the shower is on. Which was brought to the company's attention but never addressed.
He did not give me the bill until two weeks after the work was completed and refused to answer my questions about the bill for two more weeks. He showed up at my home to negotiate a price without billing logs and when I tried to tell him why I felt like it was too high, he basically blamed me because I wanted a regular full sized tub. When I asked for logs of the hours worked, I was told I would be given them only after I agreed to sign a non disclosure agreement. He started the process of putting a lien on my home stating that I had 60 days to address the concerns. I did not, I had 30 at best considering the time frame of the bill and when he responded to my questions. As a result I got a lawyer and he still wanted a non disclosure clause. I ended up paying more just so I could warn others about how this company does business.
This company has a contract that basically holds the home owner responsible for everything regardless of how they conduct their business. In my experience, they are not willing to take accountability for their actions and produce shoddy work. I strongly advise you do not use them.
I would strongly recommend this company if you want sleepless nights, be left with unfinished project 6 months later then promised and have no money left on your account ! Also if you want to get sick or hate your life then they would be the people to hire.
We are disappointed that this reviewer remained unsatisfied after we had worked towards resolving the issues and had reached a compromise. We will continue to learn from our experiences to facilitate smooth projects for our customers.
