These guys screwed up every way possible. They broke my porcelain. They laid my floor so it was 2 inches higher than the adjacent floor. They installed the drain wrong. They delayed the job for months and then gave up because it screwed up so many times. I would never deal with these people ever ever again.
We value all of our clients feedback. It starts a conversation we may not have been able to have at the time. This is how we improve and learn.
This project was quite challenging for a number of reasons.
The client asked for a curbless shower with a drain along the door wall, which was installed by a plumber she had hired. Her shower base was 5 long, slope to code is 1/4 per foot. The Schluter drain was set by that plumber at 1/2 above the floor.
We quoted this job with a cherry wood reducer and discussed in writing putting in a curb to avoid the elevation difference.
Regarding the broken porcelain slabs, we were the second tile company hired for the install. Neither one of us were able to handle these slabs without them breaking them which lead me to believe they were fractured from the supplier. Although the supplier and the manufacturer would not accept any responsibility, I went into their warehouse to see the slabs for myself. Sure enough, the slabs were already fractured (I have pictures of them) and were delivered on site in that condition.
To add insult to injury, at Metroworks expense I ordered more slabs which I hired Phoenix Crane to deliver. Their straps broke when they were unloading them and dropped the slabs onto the sidewalk. Metroworks made another purchase of these slabs, however this time, the homeowner didn t want us to install them because they were dusty.
We had 5 guys on site for two days and on the third we gave up.

I can only say positive things about this company. The owner was so incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, even before I had hired his company. He really cared about ensuring I had the work done on budget while also achieving my high quality standards. He went over and above my expectations and coordinated finishing the job within my tight timeline even though his wife was due to give birth any day! Excellent company, I would recommend them to everyone.

Shawn and his team did the tiling for our kitchen and two bathrooms, including removal of all old tile and installing new floor tile, tub/shower surrounds, and backsplash. The work all team members did was excellent. Shawn is very courteous and cognizant of your needs as a homeowner. He and his team clean up at the end of each work day. His hours of work are flexible, and he tries to get the work completed as quickly as possible so that you can get on with your post-reno life! I highly recommend Shawn and his team for completing your tiling project.
