Our kitchen renovation with Carl Michon from Mikon construction was nothing more than a real pleasure. Carl was the only contractor from the 7 we met who tried to found quality solution that fit our budget. He truly realized bringing this kitchen renovation project we were contemplating to reality. Starting renovation can be daunting and we went by the book, often consulting Holmes on Homes and CMHC information to ensure that we crossed all the t's. Carl met all these criterias. What we enjoyed the most with Carl was his honesty, integrity and ponctuality. His crew was a pleasure to deal with and they were hard workers. They were cleaned, on time and very respectful of our home.

The craftmenship was excellent and reflected a truly qualified experienced group.

Renovations were made within the expected budget, on time and exceeded our expectations.

Mikon Construction was hired to build a 600 sq.ft deck. Planning was of the outmost importance as I had an idea on the multi-level design and wanted the deck to be a specific height and be in proportion to the house. Carl provided excellent suggestions and listened to the client's needs. Many hours were spent in the planning, looking at every detail to ensure that the end product would be to our satisfaction. This planning ahead meant no surprises at the finish stage. Carl kept us informed all the way through the construction. Carl is meticulous in his work and is proud of his workmanship - with good reason.

Carl and his team have created not just a bathroom but a spa in our home. While working with our ideas and design, Carl provided excellent suggestion and guidance to give us the best quality products and workmanship. We are very proud to invite people to see this beautiful room even if it is just the bathroom. It was a real pleasure to work with Mikon Construction. Committing to our first major home renovation was a big decision for us which translated into a lot of anxiety when selecting the right person for the job. Carl Michon not only provided the quality workmanship and attention to detail as advertised, he also shared in our vision and expanded on it with recommendations and ideas we would never have thought of ourselves. The result is a rennovation that exceeded our expectations. Our only regret is that we did not call Mikon Construction sooner!

When my wife and I decided to renovate our bathroom, we had 4 contractors over for an estimate. We went with Carl because his price was reasonable (although not the cheapest) and he was detail-oriented in his assessment. He took his time to discuss various options with us; he was straightforward and avoided over selling himself. He was able to establish with us a relationship of trust.

We were not disappointed with our choice. Everything went as planned and on schedule, no surprises and no mess left behind. He even took the initiative to tackle some unforeseen circumstances with no extra cost incurred by us. The work is very satisfactory. My only regret? Our choice of color for the wall. But that's not Carl's fault.

I used Mikon Construction again this fall when I had the windows replaced on my home. It was important to me that the new windows match the character of my 100-year-old home, but be functional and energy-efficient at the same time. Mikon helped me choose a product that suited these needs, and I am incredibly happy with the installation. As per my request, all the original trim was left intact and the new windows match so well the only way I know there is a difference is that they open and there isn't a huge draft of cold air when you walk by!

I have been working with Mikon construction this fall to replace the siding on part of my home and all of the windows. Because of the difficult-to-access location of the siding, several contractors I met for estimates didn't want to do the job at all. I was very pleased with Mikon construction through all steps of the process, from planning and choosing materials to timely completion and thorough clean-up of the site.

The contractor was pleasant and very professional. His quote was accurate. He also recommended upgrades that fit my budget. When windows were installed; workers were courteous to cover furniture and cleaned after installation was completed. Trim was installed in colonial style at no extra cost. I would recommend Mikon Construction to anybody who's looking for professional & quality work at a competitive price.
