Millwerx added a mudroom to our home in October 2013. This involved framing, drywalling, insulation, tiling, electrical, HVAC, painting and (beautiful) custom cabinetry to create a useful space for us.

It was completed perfectly on budget with absolute transparency as to the cost of the items we added. There were no "hidden" nor "surprise" costs. The price was, in our opinion, fantastic. The job started on time and finished a few days late, (due to many additions we made to the project after the original timeline estimate).

Communication throughout was superb - both in the planning stage and during the project. Matt replies to emails quickly and kept us up to date as to the progress and daily plan. On the few occasions during the project that we wished something to be modified or a detail to be changed, Matt was always cheerful and willing. Whatever modification we requested was completed exactly as desired.

The site was kept very clean and the crew was kind and respectful. We felt completely comfortable having them in our home whether we were there or not. We even have young children who still nap and the team made every effort to only do the noisy parts outside of naptime.

The final product far exceeded our expectations - we are ecstatic with both the look and the function.

We have never had such a good experience with a contractor and will absolutely hire Millwerx again for our future planned renovations (custom fireplace & finishing our basement) . We recommend Millwerx without reservation.

This was our first experience with having to hire a contractor and we're glad to say it was a most positive experience. Matt was very honest right from the start. He clearly explained the work that would have to be done and answered any questions we had. He gave us a timeline and contacted us within that time as promised. He and his apprentice came at the exact time they had advised. They were both very professional, friendly and proceeded to do the repairs, cleaning up as they went and leaving everything as they had found it. We didn't want the whole kitchen painted and I was amazed that they were able to match the paint in the area around the Bay window to the existing paint colour. Matt also went above and beyond by checking to determine where the leak might have originated and giving us a tutorial on water damage and leaks in general. As a result, we are having him return to caulk our windows as we don't want any leaks to reoccur, especially after the beautiful job they did. I would have no hesitation in recommending Millwerx to anyone to give them the peace of mind of hiring a contractor with confidence that the work will be done on time, within budget, cleanly and professionally!

Before proceeding with the work on our home, we interviewed approximately a half-dozen contractors. Matt from Millwerx was not only the first to respond and easiest to get a hold of, but was also by far and away the most patient, helpful and detail oriented, offering a number of solutions to our desires and explaining each step and item thoroughly.

There was ample communication and preparation leading up to the start date and the work began on-time as promised. From start to finish, Matt was always on-site and was happy to answer any questions we had, discuss the progress and any further wishes we requested outside of our original agreement. He and his crew were polite and professional and maintained a safe and clean working environment throughout the project, as well as possessed the necessary skills and all of the top-grade tools and materials required for a high-quality renovation. The care, skill and precision Matt and his crew put in to each item of the project are unparalleled. We are extremely happy with the finished results.

The work was completed on-time and had no "surprise" additional costs. Matt's quotations are not only accurate from the start, but are also itemized line-by-line showing every single expense for materials and labour leaving nothing undisclosed. I recently had my hardwood floors removed and replaced with new floors by Matt and his team from Millwerx. I am extremely pleased with the results and would highly recommend this company to others.

From Day 1 Matt gave an honest, detailed quote, with each component of the job broken down, so i could see exactly where every single costs was coming from. He communicated with me constantly to ensure i understood the process and the status of the job at every stage. He was also very patient in answering all my questions, and explaining all the aspects of installing hardwood (as i had no previous experience with hardwood). He was very clear in his advice on choice of hardwood and even brought samples to the house. Matt and his team were extremely courteous and at the end of every day, left all their tools clean, and neatly laid out on a blanket on the floor, so as to not scratch the surface, and they swept and tidied, even arranging my floor mats to ensure minimal dust/dirt was tracked through the house.

Matt did exactly what he said he was going to do; from being there everyday on time, to finishing on time and on budget. Matt totally eased my fears in working with contractors, as a first time home-owner with a baby due in 6 weeks, i was extremely cautious in hiring a contractor. But Matt exceeded my expectations.
