I am very pleased with the work that was done by Miracle Dream Homes as the work was exceptionally well done. My washroom looks amazing. The service was professional and I appreciated the fact that they were quick to respond, they respected the planned date and time set out to do the work, and they respected the initial quote. The contractor was very friendly and did his work diligently. I would highly recommend them.
We just completed 2 bathrooms with this company and are very happy with the results. Ellie helped me select tile for floors, shower and bath. Alex did our work and he was clean, punctual and professional. He did a great job. Yuri was available at all times when we had questions and concerns. Bottom line - I would definitely recommend this company.
Thank you, Sandra, for taking time to share. We are very happy you are enjoying your newly renovated bathrooms. It was pleasure working for you.
The work performed by this company was way below what they promised. They were slow, getting about half the renovation project done in the time they promised, and continually said they would be here to work and failed to show up. At the end of the promised two week period they refused to commit to how much longer they would take to get it done. When another company was hired to finish the job, they had to redo much of the work - adding expense and time. In summary, poor quality work that took way too long to get done badly. I would not let these guys back into my home.
In response to Miracle Homes: The intent of the review was to ensure other people knew what they were dealing with – we expected the work to be done in two weeks as verbally committed by Lowes, instead we saw workers at our house for less than 12 hours the first week and 30 hours the second week. We kept a log. The detail provided by Miracle Homes is exaggerated with respect to time. The shower base was discovered damaged on Wednesday, 1 Aug. Replacement arrived at Lowes Thursday 2 Aug at 1100. Lowes could not locate Roman who said he would be available but couldn’t be found. Friday, 3 Aug according to Lowes once again no one could raise Roman – no work done. Total work for week – 12 hours max with no one at the house from Wednesday mid afternoon until the following Monday at 1200. Monday, 6 August arrived at house at 1200 and worked until 4:30 PM (not quite late evening). Tuesday, 7 August Roman informed me he would have to cut a hole in the dining room ceiling to install the tub. I exchanged the faucet type (not Roman) to avoid the extra time and mess. We spent about 10 minutes placing the tub. Roman stated he would not paint until everything else was done. Friday as the last day was not a surprise as I had made it clear to Roman that was the case from the beginning. We had a cleaning crew in to do a post renovation cleaning – that was why we asked the door to be kept shut – after the cleaning was done. Roman placed the old tub in the front yard on Friday and said he would pick it up Saturday (didn’t have room in the truck). Then said it would be picked up Monday. Then said Tuesday – then said it would be picked up when convenient to Roman. Picked up late Thursday after a complaint to Lowes. At no time did anyone tell us one more day – we asked for a commitment that it could be done in two days, were initially told they needed three, then increased to five then a refusal to commit to even five days maximum – instead we were told no firm time could be committed. The contractor we called in to give us a completion estimate said part of the floor would have to be removed and the faucet installation fixed and the floor re-laid. He also said no professional waited to paint until all the installation was completed. He also said the vanity should never have been installed in the location it was. Overall, Miracle Homes did not spend the time necessary to get this job done properly.
Gordon, it seems very easy to try to defame someone on the internet. However, it is an offence and can be taken up to the court of law. Here is the documented account of your project. On July 18, 2018 you asked in a text message if the bathroom reno would be finished in 2 weeks (July 30- Aug 10). We had texts exchange & 1phone conversation to make sure you understood in details the process and that the time-frame cannot be promised or guaranteed, that 2-week is an average estimate for a bathroom like yours, but delays may occur. You said your were booking a hotel till Aug 10, because you expected the reno mess. We made a point that if the project would go beyond Aug 10, it would be on the finishing stage, not much dust at that point, so you would be able to stay at home. You said : "I understand .
Started on July 30th (Monday). Demolition took 2 days. During the pick up and delivery of materials (ordered & purchased by you), we found out that the shower base had not been ordered, so we had to wait for the base to arrive. The shower base is the first thing that had to be installed, and it was holding all the rest of the process. Even drywall could not be finished completely, since it all connects to the shower area.
Monday, Aug 6 cancelling his long weekend, Roman delivered your shower base. They installed the base, did the waterproofing for shower, & drywall. 2 people worked on long weekend for you till late evening.
Tuesday, Aug 7, Roman installed the tiles on the walls. Plumbing for freestanding tub and faucet was done that day as well. Then Roman put Ditra on the floor. He and his helper were there all day well into the evening. Note: For the tub and faucet location, you spent a good amount of time with them moving tub & faucet around to pin-point location. Also discussed the options and exchanged in the store the faucet type for the tub.
Wed, Aug 8, Alex installed the floor tile. He finished late in the evening.
Thursday, Aug 9, as the newly set tile needed to dry, they came back in the afternoon. Cleaned the floor, removed the levellers and applied the grout for the shower walls & the floor. Floor grout had to dry again undisturbed.
Friday, Aug 10 Alex installed the shower door in the morning. The plan was to do the paining that day. But while Alex was installing the shower door, you spoke to our office over the phone and put the ultimatum that everything had to be finished that day. You ordered us to bring everything from the garage, informing us for the first time (!!!) that you had planned a vacation leaving Monday, and you had to have the garage emptied for your car to be parked inside, and all the work done to be done that day or never. We explained to you that one(1) more day was needed to finish the job completely. If you'd let us continue that Friday to do our job in the normal order, we would have painted & Monday would have installed cabinets, toilet, free-standing tub & floor transition. Instead, you insisted on your order of install the vanity with linen tower and the toilet that day. You were in the room choosing the exact spot for the vanity & the tower. The vanity could be moved left and right a little, but, in general, it was determined by the existing vanity light connection, which you did not ask us to move. You personally directed Roman as to were to put the vanity and the tower exactly in relations to the light fixture. Roman was literally moving the cabinets left/right, while you were pointing how much to the right-left to move the cabinets.
You blame us for the delay, vanity location and not painting first. All of these accusations are directed to the wrong side, and quite frankly are very puzzling for us, being so unreasonable, as well as your attitude toward people working in your home, since you shut off the air circulation in he house for your wife disliked dust, you made people work in +35 C++ heat without AC or fan or being allowed to open the bathr door. However they did not raise this issue with you then, but they should have.

Yuri and Roman plus other members of the Miracle Homes Team, completed a bathroom renovation for us in preparation of the sale of our home in 2014. We were so impressed with his honesty, creative and cost savings suggestions, calibre of workmanship that we had him put in a brand new bathroom and renovate our ensuite in our new home.
This year we plan on having the team back to help us with other renovation projects!!!
I hired Yuri to redo my familyroom fireplace and couldn't be happier. He had one of his crews ( Maxim ) come and do it (very professional). I was so pleased I have them coming back next week to retile my entrance way, bathroom and laundry room. I will let you know how it turns out but I'm sure it will be the same result.
We were so pleased with the bathroom renovation which was done by Yuri and his team. We found them to be professional, knowledgeable and respectful. They were very helpful in suggesting changes that could be made which turned out to be excellent. We would definitely recommend Yuri and his team to anyone who requires a home renovation.
I engaged the services of Yuri York, general contractor to perform some modifications at my residence in Ottawa. I was very impressed and fully satisfied with Mr. York’s work, honesty, the professional manner in which he applied himself and other crew and his organization skills.
I will recommend him to my friends.
These guys were great. I am so happy with the job they've done on my basement. All my neighbors are jealous and all my friends say wow when they come in.
Yuri and his team have always been on time, very polite and clean. No mess or anything. I put average against the budget because we went a little over it. But it was all worth it. I am glad they gave me tons of suggestions on how to make the basement even better than I envisioned.
Thank you guys! I have kitchen renovation coming - I know who to call !
