I’ve been using them to open and close my pools the past few years, it’s been mostly hiccup free this year I requested a sand filter cleaning and a partial opening.
20 minutes in one of the staff comes and tells me he needs to suck off some of the water to speed things up and that my sand filter cleaning he cannot do because it was booked as a cartridge and not sand. Then he just stands there. Finally I ask him so how much is this going to cost me and he says talk to head office.
I call head office later and spoke to the manager, I explained I did the exact same Ive done every other year and there was never an issue, he start talking about photos and comparing them to past years and that he feels a full opening charge is warranted.
They opened up every valve, my solar, heater and all the bypass valves. I started to lose water after filling up and found out they opened the solar (thanks for the communication) normally they don’t do this and I have a leak in one of the tubes from past season so it stays closed.
As for my pump, well even though the water level wasn’t up he tried and tried to start it with no success. Last week after filling I started the pump, it started to leak. I figured it was the gasket so I bought a new one. Nope its from one of the bolts they put back in. Tried to turn on my heater after they left and because the bypass valve was open, the water pressure was not sufficient and my heater began to go crazy.
Now I’ve been billed for a full opening for that 10 minutes they ran their pump. They are refusing to do the sand filter and refusing to attend a second time.
Really disappointed that the owner Mike won’t even call me back to try and resolve. Looks like I might need to take them to small claims to recoup some of the damage they done.
We moved into a new home and contacted Mirage and a few other companies to quote on converting our pool to salt water and a heating system. Their quote was competitive and they were very knowledgable. The installation went smoothly and we were happy with the outcome. We did call them as one of the lines started to rust and they had someone out soon after our call which was great! Overall very happy with their service and often use them for opening and closing of the pool.
