Where do I start with this joker! We had 2 bathrooms done completely gut and redo. Spent over $4000 to Navigator and over $3000 on tiles, vanitiy, tub, taps, sink shower heads , ditra, ect! He could not wait to leave gives himself 3 days on each bathroom gut and put back together! We paid him more than he asked for, paid him to dump and for an extra materials as we felt he deserved it! As soon as he left I saw the toilets leaking, the bolts were finger tightened! I went and tightened them. We used our basement shower for a few days while we put the mirrors ,towel holders, toilet paper holders and cleaned up, which he promised to do but could not wait to go. When we ran the bath the first night we had a big leak in our family room. We then ran the master bath and it leaked into our kitchen. It never leaked before, we ripped out the ceiling and called him, he had not tightened the bath stoppers both baths. We then had little insects coming from the sink, called another plumber and had a p trap installed to correct this. The tiling is awful and has waves. I can put the floor heat registers back as the hole is too small, he has mud from drywall so thick that the metal trim from the tiles don't show. When I turn the tap on for the bath the whole shower head moves like they are connected together. Charles is a con man and will not only rip your bathroom but rip you off too, anyone wants pictures please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will send you them and you can see what you will get from using this guy! I would not recommend him and stay well well away. I will redo my bathroom again when I get time myself and do a better job than this Charlie any day it has been a $7000 lesson. I can go on and on with the mess he has caused but this would be book. He has no ethics or skill
I did do renovations on 2 washrooms at Karims' house in April 2013, the project took 8 days as we were doing both washrooms at the same time
when i was initially called inn to give an estimate on this project the master bathroom had been recently renovated and his reason for wanting to re-do it was because he had done it himself and it had been leaking down to the kitchen directly below and also that his wife does not like the job done on the bathroom
i gave him a labor only estimate of $2000 for each bathroom making it a total of $4000 and he was going to supply all the materials for the renovations
during the course of the project i had to buy many plumbing and electrical materials sum up to over $300... I also had to do a lot of extra work which includes painting, crown molding, moving electrical outlets and vanity lights at no extra charges i also had to load-up and dispose off all the demolitions at the landfill multiple times which total $150
Karim was present at the house all through the renovation period and he repeatedly express how good the job was
at the end of the project he confirmed from his wife that the job was done well to her satisfaction and he gave me the balance that was due he also offered to pay for all the extra materials that i had to buy which i did not accept and he insisted on paying me $100 for dumping the garbage so the total sum i received from Karim was $4100 he also schedule for me to come back in a few weeks and help him with re installing the whole ceiling in the first floor which he plans on removing because of the ceiling texture and stains and damages to the ceiling over the years and also to install new tiles in the foyer area
i got a call back from Karim about two weeks after the project and he complain about seeing water dripping from underneath both tubs, one of the toilets not properly tightened and not being able to install vent cover due to some thinset on the edges of the vent opening
i went there the following day to check and fix the problems and i was surprise to see that the drain was loose in both tubs... i remember tightning both drains myself well i got the drain tightened and i checked on the toilets... before i left i told him to call me if there is any other concerns in the future... we shook hands and i left... now i see this complaint
i have run this same company for over 16 years in the last year alone i have done several project including over 12 bathroom renovations, i have never got any complain or unsatisfier client my customer satisfaction is very important to me and if Karim is not satisfied i am willing to do any realistic thing to rectified the situation but i don t think he should go as far as trying to destroy my reputation which i have built for over 16yrs
i will very much appreciate if a thorough investigation can be done to get the fact of this issue and not post lies made up by someone for a reason not known because if he keeps on with this i am definitely going to talk to my lawyer about this and possibly deal with this in court...
thanks for your time
