Navona was hired to do a complete kitchen renovation. They estimated the project would take 4 weeks to complete. Four months later we were still not even close to being into our kitchen. The project took a total of 6 months to complete for a 200 square foot kitchen reno. The actual costs of the renovation came in at over double the original budgeted amount despite us not adding or changing anything during the construction, in fact we supplied our own drawer knobs and handles despite the fact they were in the original quote.
The electrical work was done without a permit and we were left with faulty electrical work that needed to be repaired by a certified electrician to prevent a fire.
The kitchen sink is warped and does not drain properly.
The lino floor they installed is now bubbling all over the place.
Their workers scratched our $3500 and offered us $750 compensation. They told us to accept or they would void our contract and walk away.
The finish on our cabinets is now peeling after just 2 years. The doors now need to be replaced.
Living room ceiling (not part of project) was damaged and fixed with spray on stipple out of a can.
Microwave was improperly vented. Needed to be repaired.
Heating panels they installed stopped working and they refused to repair or replace. We have had to install a new heating system in the room to the cost of $2500.
Electrical wiring for the pot lights had to be redone as they wired all our potlights and two kitchen outlets all on one circuit.
Two cabinet doors ended up with small nail holes from the installation they were painted over and never repaired.
The company voided our warranty without cause claiming the floor bubbles were due to our abuse of the floor by letting our 6 and 8 year old daughters play on it. Seriously, they said that!
During the renovation we were contacted by two of Navona's subcontractors seeking payment for the work they had done on our house because Navona had not paid them and they were now 90 Days past due. They threatened to file a lien on our home if they were not paid within 14 days.
There are far too many items to list. The work is DIY quality at best, yet I paid for a professional kitchen renovation.
The list of problems goes on and on. Complaints to the company were ignored. Complaints to the Better Business Bureau were not responded to by the company.
