Peter and his assistant were professional, courteous and did a fantastic job. They went above and beyond and we already have plans for other work we will gladly have them in to do. Can’t say enough about what a good experience it was to work with Peter.
Peter came in and renovated the full main floor of our home. He quoted me a time frame and the team finished on time, on budget.
I had a vision, Peter showed me possibilities and together we came up with an open concept plan.
His team is amazing and all are wonderful to work with.
My husband and I are so impressed with Peter & crew we are hiring them to renovate our master suite.
We needed our outdated Master Bathroom totally renovated from tile to toilet.
After 4 different quotes we choose Peter to do our work and we were not disappointed. He and John were professional, courteous and very respectful of our home and cats(ha!).
They created exactly the vision I had in mind. The entire 3 week process was very easy and stress-free and Peter worked with me on developing the design and picking out all the materials.
We collaborated as the project unfolded and if there were any changes that I wanted to make to the design he was more then willing to suggest other realistic alternatives and implement them.
He co-ordinated other adept professionals who showed up as scheduled and did expert installations.
My new bathroom is elegant, welcoming and very spa-like. The tiling, heated flooring, glorious glassed-in shower and built-in Jacuzzi is gorgeous.
My husband( the cheque writer)'s ultimate complement is: "Peter Steele was on time and on budget."
We would recommend Peter Steele to our friends and we will ask him to do other projects for us.
Steve and Karen from Whitby.
We would highly recommend Peter and his team! He was recommended to us by Plumbing and Parts in Whitby where he has had a long established relationship ( special thanks to the team at Plumbing and Parts!) . It was important for us to have a contractor who lived up to what he promised. Peter achieved that and was prompt and professional. The team's work was excellent and Peter provided useful suggestions and insights before and during the project. His team provided high quality workmanship and did their utmost to limit disruption (i.e., dust and dirt etc.). We were provided with excellent on time service and a superb turn-key finished product.
Peter is truly a contractor who knows his business, is prompt and respectful. We are very pleased with the results and have already discussed our next project with him.
Peter and his team did a great job! They were timely and very good communicators throughout. If your considering Peter for your project then I recommend you hire him. I have no doubt that you'll be pleased with your decision.
Project began on time and was completed on schedule. Polite and personable service. Quality work with good communication throughout. We are awaiting a quote for our next bathroom renovation from Peter.
Peter Steele is a gem. Upon meeting him, you immediately understand that he a mature professional. We asked him to give a quote for a basement renovation on a prospective house we were thinking of buying. We had a short period of time, perhaps an hour, for all 3 perspective contractors to come up with a competitive quote for a basement apartment for our parents. 2 years later, when we were finally ready to do the renovation our house, we did eventually buy, we remembered him clearly (not one but, all of us; the Committee: parents, spouse and myself).
He takes the time and is extremely patient with all your questions and concerns (even if you ask the same ones more than once). As there was more than one interested party interested in the renovation, he was ever so patient to go through all the phases of construction and cost in detail and gave us an accurate schedule. There are no billing surprises; he is open, up front and timely about materials and labour costs. We found this extremely important as it shaped our expectations of how the renovation proceeded. For example, our demolition was only 2-3 full days, whereas, all of the dry walling we had, took up to a week for it cure and dry properly depending on humidity. He has a great report with his team of skilled accredited craftsmen. This showed us that they too have a long working and successful relationship. He is willing to give honest and realistic advice during construction, especially if you (or beloved family member) come up with some wacky ideas. On the same note, he was accommodating to make adjustments/additions based on the work scheduled and our budget. We always felt confident that Peter and his team put their best work into each job. And they should take pride, the final product is beautiful, well done and makes me want to change rest of the house to look just as fantastic.
Thanks Peter!!!
Peter was hired to complete a bathroom renovation that had been previously started and had turned into a year long nightmare! Peter was not the cheapest quote I received but he did provide the most detailed quote outlining everything I had asked for with an approximate cost against each item. Peter also brought copies of all company insurance papers and names of licensed plumbers and electricians he used, he was the only one to provide these at the quote stage. I am an extremely detailed person and somewhat of a control freak so this boosted my confidence that Peter was mindful of details, no matter how small, right from the start. Peter let me know that he did have another project on the go but would fit my project in when he was on 'waiting' time with the other or I could wait until the other was completed to start mine. I chose to be fit in and it worked out great. This gave me time to think about what I had thought I originally wanted and what I ended up changing as things progressed. I think I almost drove Peter over the edge with my daily changes and constant worries about the details but Peter just smiled and told me not to worry, he was on it. After a few weeks and about 200 e-mails my bathroom nightmare that lasted over a year is finally over. I can now say I LOVE my bathroom and it's exactly what I had envisioned when I first started it. Peter takes pride in his work and if it's not done to your satisfaction, he fixes it - no questions asked. He takes his time to make sure things are done correct - my tiles were too heavy to be put up in one day so he let me know that to be done properly it was going to take longer than planned. As well, if something looks 'off' to Peter he will let you know and ask if you would like it changed. I originally had clear caulking around my top tiles but Peter didn't like the look of that so we changed it to white and it was a huge improvement - I appreciated Peter's opinion as I would not have thought to do that. And finally, Peter is completely honest. I had changed many things and when I paid Peter I realized there was an error on the invoice - I let Peter know and he went over the invoice, sent me a list outlining the changes, apologized for the error and wrote me a cheque for the difference. Not everyone would have done that. I would definitely hire Peter for future jobs and would recommend him to anyone looking to have renovations done.
Thanks Again Peter.
Sue
We hired Peter Steele to replace two bathroom cabinets in our home. Peter was an absolute gentleman to deal with and we would hire Peter again for any future work we might have done. We are very pleased with our new cabinets that Peter installed. The one cabinet that we bought from Durham Kitchen and Bath in Whitby had a problem with one of it's drawers. Peter offered to come back to install the drawer when we got it replaced from Durham Kitchen and Bath. Peter came by to see how we made out with the store. He also offered to come back and do some caulking work that could not be done the day of installation because we had wallpaper that had to be removed. A couple days after the cabinets were installed, the one pipe under the cabinet had a small leak. Peter was over that very afternoon that we contacted him to repair the leak.
Peter is a very personable man and it was a pleasure to have him doing work in our home!
