Mark Allard is a crook. Don't trust him. We paid Mark a lump sum to complete a job. He completed about 45% and ran away with the rest of the money. We're trying to go to small claims court to get our money back.
Paid $5000. Promises, promises, but never did the job. Does not return calls. If you reach him, he cuts you off and hangs up on you. Eventually unable to reach him. Impossible to take him to court, he changes address often. He has no intention to do the work. Just take money and run.
I also hired Mark to do several renos around the house. I gave him a few thousand dollars to go get some supplies but he never came back. Called him several times and he promised to refund my money but never did. Eventually he stopped taking my calls. Has anyone successfully taken him to small claims court?
We paid Mark a $3500 deposit to drywall our basement apartment. The materials didn't arrive when promised - in fact they never arrived - nor did he. Mark also promised several times to refund our deposit then stopped taking our calls. We are now headed to small claims court to get our money back.
