I woud NEVER, EVER recommend the services of Pro-Ren Home Improvements. In my opinion, Sam David does a great job of mis-representing himself and his company. He continually demands money but offers no explanation or proof for for the additional expenses. When issues occur he over-inflates the costs knowing that you need the work done to complete the project. Also, he doesn't pay his workers as evendinced in a communication he forwarded to me. He demanded $15,000 from me with no explanation and then threatened to remove his workers if I didn't pay, which he did... And we had a contract in place with payment terms cleary defined. He left me with an unfinished project and he owes me money since I had alrady paid him from work he had not completed.
In my opinion, if you want to throw money down the drain and ruin your house, then he is the man for the job!!!
May you have better luck than I did in sourcing a relable, honest contractor....
ProRen greatly regrets the outcome of this project. Thankfully, our list of satisfied customers greatly out numbers our unsatisfied customer. We encourage prospective customers to please read the positive feedback we have received.
In response to Wendy Wells complaint, there were many additional expenses that were building up during this project. Each and every additional expense was fully discussed and explained to the client prior to ProRen beginning any additional work. In addition to what was outlined in the original contract, there was an additional $18,000 in work that was signed and agreed upon by the client.
ProRen requested that Ms. Wells make an additional payment to cover all the extras prior to any more work being carried out. The additional $18,000 was not included in the payment schedule.
ProRen felt that there was a huge lack of communication between the client and contractor throughout this entire project. There were many times Mr. David attempted to discuss issues with Ms. Wells and was repeatedly told that she was too busy in meetings etc. Mr. David made the decision to pull his team from the project based on the outstanding amount of extras incurred and the fact that there was a lack of communication between him and Ms. Wells.
Upon pulling his team from the project, Mr. David attempted to contact Ms. Wells to work out their issues so they could proceed with this project. Ms. Wells was unresponsive to Mr. David s attempts to smooth out their differences. Ms. Wells, in fact, sent Mr. David an email terminating their contract and requesting that Mr. David no longer contact her.
Due to the above circumstances, ProRen was not given the chance to resolve any issues with this client and to complete the work outlined in this project. Mr. David is more than willing to continue this project to completion.
As far as issues with our employees, Ms. Wells should not be concerned, nor is it any of her worry. ProRen has never had any problems with their employees, nor have we ever had complaints of employees not being paid.

This Man is a Scam artist < ( beware he is not to be trusted ) ask him tech, questions ) he has not been in business for 15 years , he lies & cheats , doesn't pay his workers or suppliers !!!!!
He will take your money get the job started and keep adding onto the job & demanding more money !
He will leave you high & dry as he has done me in the tune of $45,000.00 dollars and left his just met workers without pay as well.He does not have a crew of people as he says , he uses Craig's list for his source for trades people !
He has left me with dumpster bills for the ruble as well as demo half done , from plumbing to wiring to opened exposed roof to the exterior.
All has been nothing but lies as the people that worked for him will attest to they have not work for him for other than the job at hand. Beware for this scam artist.

"Without Prejudice"...Sam was never hired by me, but out of 30 contractors and companies that contacted me to give me quotes he was the most unprofessional, arrogant man I have ever met. All contractors came to my place to review what needed to be done and get back to me with quotes. Sam came and gave a quote on the spot (more then double of the rest) I kindly informed him that I would be selecting a contractor by end of week and would only inform the person I hired. The following week he kept calling me to find out if he received it and I said no I never called you. He gave me total attitude that i wasted his time and that i told him he would get all the work if he just came and gave a quote. I would not recommend this man or company for any work. Who ever heard of giving someone work just cause they came and gave a quote? and he was DOUBLE ever other contractor. Of course he went on to say that I hired guys that don't know what they are doing and only he and his company were the best. He figured that just cause i was in Forest Hill he can charge what ever he wanted. You would be wise to get other quotes before you hire him.

Stay clear of this supposed professional. I contacted him for gereral information and a possible quote. I simple mentioned a day that was possible for a quote turned out it did not work out for me. I was going to call him the next day as i was considering hiring him.
Before I even had a chance to do that he sends me an email telling me off for wasting his time. I explained my situation and decided with a temper and attitude like that i was no longer interested in obtaining his services. He started to curse and personally insult me, and continued to harass me on my work email.
I had to file a harassment complaint with Craigslist and other parties
I asked him several times to stop and his last email to me was
"I make to much money at this job I'm not like your husband honey I make half million a year loser I just wanted your job to make more and charge you a lot loser"
All I was doing was looking for a contractor!
