I highly recommend using Pyramid flooring and renovation. Boky is an honest, hardworking and trustworthy contractor. Boky was patient and understanding, he new exactly what we envisioned for our renovation. Together with help from his team he was able to recreate our apartment in less than 7 weeks. We are truly lucky to have had such great contractor who made us feel secure.
As someone doing a renovation for the first time I was very skeptical in finding the right contractor. As many stories surface of horrible experiences. But I can guarantee Boky will do the job the right way. He is truly talented and does amazing work!!!
Boky and his team do excellent work. Boky was very good at communicating about the timeline and cost of the work he was leading both ahead of time and throughout; the work itself is splendid.
Pyramid flooring and renovation's contact: Bojan Jajalo sent me a quotation with pictures showing exactly what he would do, and the exact price. It confirmed it included all materials and labour. A licensed plumber would perform the plumbing work. They would also protect the floors and everywhere else while the work took place. They would also remove the old fixtures. Because the new tiling round the bath was so good it made the tiling on the floor which wasn't included in the initial quotation look grubby. I asked Boky if he could replace the bathroom tiles in addition which he did at a reasonable additional price. They finished on time, and the work exceeded my expectations looking even better than in the pictures in the quotation. Boky answered all my questions in easy to understand language and was a pleasure to deal with. The price was exactly as advertised. I would (and have) recommend(ed) him to friends and anyone needing renovations or tiling.
Boky and his crew were excellent. He was very clear in his communication and delivered on all the things he stated he would do in my e-mails with him.
His crew performed a bathroom tile installation at my condo in a timely manner and were very neat while performing the work. They were very professional throughout the installation and kept the mess to a minimum and even helped tidy everything up afterwards. The work was done on time and on budget and I was very happy with the rate I was given and the job performed. Would gladly recommend Pyramid Flooring to friends.
Boky and his men were friendly and professional. They arrived on time, communicated all questions and concerns, and made sure to keep us in the loop while the work was being done. They were flexible with our schedule and reliable with instructions. They cleaned up after themselves and left the house respectfully when they were finished. The work they did was very well done and the tiling looks great! I would definitely recommend them.
The tiler, Bojan Jajalo (Boky) gave a quote (and we accepted) to tile around the fireplace. First off, he broke several 40 x 40 inch tiles of which cost $19/sq.ft. I had to drive to Ames to purchase additional tile. When I came back he used the broken tile.
Ames will not refund the additional purchased tile. Second, he used a plastic trim around the fireplace of which we did not see prior. We used the fireplace and of course the plastic melted. On his contract, he indicated "if any adjustments are needed, it will be free of charge". When I called him he initially stated that he would fix it. However, he texted me back that he will not be coming back to fix his work. Thus, he will not honour his contract.
This is the first time and last time I will be using "trustedpros" Not too professional and not too trusted.
TO ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS please see pictures below after reading my comment: I just want to say this is the first reply to my customer ever , because all my customers so far have become my friends and I will always help them if any adjustments are needed. I told you that I will help you, even though it wasn t t my fault. I asked you if you needed me to provide the trims and setting materials and you told me that you will provide everything. You bought GROUT and told me it s tile mortar, when I asked you about the trim you gave me plastic trim and told me you want that trim because it s white. And I do have email proof you telling me that you will supply the trim.
Yes I did broke a tile but that happens all the time and that s why everybody knows to always get some extra.
You asked me for tile install and when we came over you wanted me to rebuild your fireplace and you payed nothing for that. I had to take your wall apart to install the fireplace wood shelf.
You payed only $1250 gst included for something that I would change $2000
You didn t provide parking and we had to park two blocks away and carry all the tools on very rainy day.
We even carry the tiles from your car because you are to rich to do it. Just because you work in the bank it doesn t mean you have to boss people around. We do it only because we want to help but you really didn t deserve any of that.
Still when you called me and texted me on Tuesday the 13th I did promise to help you but my dad died following morning and I sent you a message:
Hi Bob
My Dad passed away last night. I'm very sorry but I'm putting all my projects on hold.
Please call someone else to help you this time.
Labour and materials should not be more then $250, even less then that but to have someone to stop by they will change you at least $250
Best regards
You replied:
My condolences Boky. Does your dad live in the lower mainland? How long will you be off work?
Albeit, if you will not do the work promised, I assume you will pay this cost? You warranted that the job would be done right. You should have known that putting plastic near the fireplace would melt.
You have not provided a great solution to the problem. Please let me know when you can fix this issue. If not, my solution will have to be to have small claims court settle this.
Me:
Thank you, I was going to do this work for you because I wanted to help you, I like to help my customers. but the way you write to me on the day I lost my dad is unacceptable, you could've waited a couple days to say this. I do guarantee my work but I do not guarantee the materials you supply. I was going to do it for free but to pay for something you supplied to someone else does not make sense. Thank you, good luck and best regards.
You:
I agree with you on the subject of your father. I do apologize. I was sincere in my condolences. I too lost my dad and I understand. I am going to a funeral today as I lost my longtime friend.
If you only stated that I must postpone the repair due to my Dad's passing, then I would have understood. However, to say that I should go to another tiler when in the contract you stated that " If any adjustments needed it will be free of charge" is not fulfilling your commitment.
There are adjustments needed. Thus, I would think that you would honour your word.
Respectfully submitted,
See BOB, that s copy and paste because we/ I don t have nothing to hide!!
WE DON T have to postpone anything to rude people because YOU provided THE TRIM. You bought the tiles and trim from Ames tile so why don t you ask them why they sold you the one that plastic tim!!?? And ask your self why did you buy it!!?? I don t think it s a rocket science for a bank man.
And YES my dad lived in Burnaby but funeral will be in Europe and I m dropping everything to have his remains sent to homeland.
We called the top renovators for Vancouver listed on Trusted Pros for estimates, We recently purchased our home and wanted to renovate prior to renting it out and Boky came by to give an estimate. we went with him because we could tell he was confident and well knowledged. We hired him shortly after for the renovation of our 2 level house. We renovated all three bathrooms and kitchen for below suite and upstairs. We did new tiling, kitchen cabinets a full renovation of the lighting in the living room and kitchen as well. We changed all our tubs and sinks, we cannot say enough good things about our experience. The cabinet guy Joe gave us many good options for the kitchen cabinets and different looks we could go with, made us feel very comfterable asking questions. Boky did a great job with the brand new marble tiles in our kitchen and the flooring in the living room. We are more than happy with the renovation. It was suppose to take 2 months but they completed and cleaned 8 days prior to the end of the month and we ended up being able to rent it out right away on the 1st. We are SO happy with choosing them, and would highly reccommend them to anyone! Great and open communication, and always availble to talk and explain any questions we had.
Boky and his team did an excellent job tiling our tub surround and kitchen and bathroom floors. When some unexpected extra work was needed, he immediately stepped up to keep the project on track. The team was very courteous and polite and got the job done quickly and on budget. We would definitely recommend Pyramid Flooring to others!
