Hired this contractor from the Edmonton sun paper advertising section. A gentleman named Jim came over to give us a free estimate. Pricing was very fair with great product samples. Estimated time to completion was about 6 weeks, the job was complete just under 5. We are very pleased with all the work done, very professional, neat and clean.

DO NOT HIRE Jim Deschamps!!!! Very dishonest man! We hired him for installation of the hardwood and paint and when it was complete we informed him of certain things that were needed to be corrected.
He came over and told us that he would be back and from that day on its been constant run around and now he doesn't even pick up the phone.
Chances are he will probably change up his business name again and again to further collecting business.

TERRIBLE. Do not hire Jim Deschamps. He left a complete mess in my house. Rarely showed to do the job. If anything he depreciated the value of my house with his workmanship. Did not know what he was doing. I gave him the benefit of the doubt.. And that ended up bitting me in the ass. He was a complete flake and always gave me the run around.

Complaint: I worked for Jim for over a month he could never pay me on time always got paid a few hundred dollars at a time...he tells his clients he'll paint two coats on wall or ceilings and buys all the paint but only does one coat and brings back the material to where he buys it to get the money back... Jim is a very dishonest contractor and boss he constantly rips off customers and his employees he can never pay on time and then when I asked him for my paychecks he threatened me he now goes under Sherwood Construction
