They installed a tankless hot water heater in August 2018. I was told they were submitting rebate information on my behalf and the cheque would come directly to me. When I questioned them in March 2019, I was told they needed a photo of the unit. A technician came in April and took said photo. It is now August 2019 ONE YEAR after installation and I am still waiting for my rebate. I have sent numerous emails with no response. I am starting to wonder if they pocketed the money themselves. My suggestion, AVOID THIS COMPANY.
Rapid – Review
Rapid to sign you up to an overpriced system, slow to respond on after sales support.
My mothers Furnace failed this past winter and she was convinced that it had run its useful life. She had been saving up and wanting central air conditioning for several years and thought this would likely be the best time to have it installed. She is a senior living alone on fixed income. She is independent and went about having the system quoted and installed and then told me after the fact what she paid. I was upauled. I could only think that she had been sold something she didn’t need or that she had been taken advantage of.
Her house is 1000sqft bilevel built in the mid 80s and the price of her system was over double of what my recently installed Furnace/AC system was for my 1800sqft 1975 bungalow. I did some digging and asked the company that installed mine to do a comparison quote for her system. They said they could only quote a upgraded system as they do not deal in the low end systems. Their quote for the upgraded system was HALF of what my mother paid. For me this does not sit right and I want to ensure that this was not taking advantage of a vulnerable person and situation or price gouging. Going one step further I quoted the exact same system online and I also came up with an estimate of about ½ of what she paid. Rapid priced this job at $15,000 which is way over priced.
In addition to this her system went down over a week ago and for several days she could not get a hold of anyone in their service center. Always a recording with preprogrammed options that go no where and no ability to leave a message. She couldn’t even get a hold of the sales guy (Tony Martin - "energy Auditor") who was more than available during the sales cycle.
After this I got involved. I reached out to one of the owners (Jeneevan Mylvaganam) and told him the situation and asked for his support in rectifying the situation. I wanted to give them the chance to make this right or explain to me the situation. He said he would see what he could do and get back to me but at the time could not access any of the sales information. 4 days later no follow up from him even after several attempts, now I am being blown off.
In my searching this company I found that they have a court order against them for unfair business practices (https://www.servicealberta.ca/pdf/directors-orders/Rapid_Home_Solutions_Inc_.pdf)
This gives me the impression this is not the first situation like this.
All I can hope for is Rapid to make this right RAPIDLY and I can change my opinion on this company or we will seek further remedy for this under the Fair Trading Act.

This company was extremely professional. From their phone agents to their advisors. Gave us all the information we wanted, as well as polite and tidy. Installed a high efficiency furnace as well as tankless hot water tank the day after our assessment was done. Super pleased with this company and will be recommending to family and friends who are planning to upgrade their equipment.
Thank you rapid home solutions.
Stay far away from this business. They scammed us into buying new furnace, tankless water heater and a/c. They lied more times than I can count and when they installed our equipment, they cut wires of other things we had and never replaced or fixed, just left them unattached and short. They way over charged us and kept saying we would save money and this was free and that was free. NOTHING is free. Once it was too late to back out, we slowly learned about the details.
