I have been in the trades for over fifteen years. My company Recreation Renovations was developed in 2004. I am fully Insured with Liability Ins. as well I am a member WSIB. All my work is under a full warranty. If you want a quality job done wright please call Recreation Renovations.
We had previously used Robert twice and were pleased with the results, and the pride he took in his work, so we decided to use his services to finish our basement. We were pleased with his estimate and suggestions, and looked forward to a finished basement. Our opinion now is completely the opposite, and we will no longer recommend him to others for various reasons: Job took 2 months longer than advised and he did not dedicate himself to just our job, so was not here on a regular basis (some jobs were previously booked and we understood that); would fail to call when he could not be here when he said he would; rough spots left on walls that were to be paint ready; screws used for the suspended ceiling coming up through the floor and carpet on the main floor; smudge marks on ceiling tiles not cleaned; ceiling tiles not fitting properly, and we were told by others that the ceiling did not appear to be very secure; duct work was left unconnected so air was blowing through the ceiling and not the vents; drain pipes coming apart, among others. When we advised him of the problems remaining, he said everything would be fixed, as he did not want us to be unhappy with his work. We still did not hear from him, but when we ran into him a few weeks later, he said he would fix everything and make it up to us, however, we did not hear absolutely anything from him until 3 months later, but by that time we had taken care of some of the matters and would take care of the rest ourselves, at our cost. His ad says his work is under warranty, but a warranty is no good if things don't get fixed. We paid him his price and more because some additional work was required, but we definitely did not get the result we should have, based on the previous work he did for us, and we will no longer be using his services.
