Sitting here shocked that Frank has walked off our project leaving closet doors that don't shut, closet doors that are too small for the opening, hardwood flooring that doesn't meet the wall, unpainted baseboards.
He has decided, without any discussion with us, that he will not come back to correct the closet door situation or any of the other issues and forfeit the last of monies owed to him. He informed me in a surprising, rambling email and then never responded to any of my emails for him to clarify what exactly is going on.
Frank does not actually do any of the work. I believe he has some young guys (family?) that did the demo, trim and the framing of the closets (can only assume without a level or a tape measure).
The hardwood flooring was done by a sub who blasted music, spoke only in "f" bombs and complained about the job the entire 5 hours they were in my home and then left 1"-2" gaps along the edges of one of the closets. I was informed by Frank that it would be extra to have them come back to fix and it was suggested that perhaps my husband could fix.
The windows were beautiful and installed well by professional people.
The closet doors were installed substandardly by a sub but they are not entirely to blame because the casing/framing was neither level nor the correct measurement for the bifold doors.
The painter was okay. He used an inferior paint when I was told Benjamin Moore paint was to be used when the job was quoted by Frank. I gave him a BM chip indicating the colour and the painter used PPG paint. Frank informed me that he trusted his painter to make those decisions . The painter did not fill in nail holes before painting the trim, which is pretty standard. He did not take much pride in his work as there are plenty of drip marks and hinges painted over.
Frank never came by to supervise or at the end check the work of his subcontractors.
He scolded me for suggesting that this is necessary.
I am incredibly disappointed with our whole experience with Reno Force and am left with scrambling to find someone to correct and finish the job that Frank walked away from.
We had Reno Force do a bathroom renovation at our other house and really liked the work they did. Well their workmanship is still excellent, Frank and his workers still are just like being a part of your family. so I hired Reno Force to do another bathroom Reno, to make it easier for my husband to use the shower and the bafthroom, my husband has
Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Excellent work guys, a great job done, I am very happy with the job, a big thank you for all the little extra things you guys did.
I even had them put in a opening at the front of the house with a double door, looks fantastic!!
Had them put in two new windows also.
They always tidied things before retiring for the day.
He stayed within the budget we talked about.
All work was done close to when he said it would be done.
If you need a great job done call Reno Force, I haven’t been sorry.
And I am positive you won’t be either.
Thank you for the great job and some great friends and a lot of laughs.
Truly enjoyed the whole lot of you.

Me and my husband can't say enough great things about RenoForce! This was our first reno project and we were very nervous about the outcome, we met with 3 contractors to help us finish our basement and right away Frank stood out, he was professional, knowledgeable, made us very comfortable and his price was fair. He was open to our design plans and listened to what we wanted and when we had questions or were uncertain of a particular path to take Frank was there with helpful suggestions. As the job began both Frank and his team were friendly and accommodating, we were living through this project I was very impressed with how they kept the work site clean, organized ,safe. From slight changes, to completed steps of the project Frank and his crew kept us up to speed on everything that was happening. Even with a few minor delays Frank kept the schedule moving, he worked with our budget and although a few unforeseen issues arose he did his very best to stay on budget for us. If any of our plans needed changes it was discussed with us immediately and if we were unsure what decision to make Frank was there to offer valuable advice. Frank really cares about his customers and made that very clear by his work and flexibility. We are so appreciative to the RenoForce team for all their hard work and patience. Frank has even been there to help us with a few of our concerns for certain finishes i.e trim and flooring, even after his part of the job was finished. I would definitely recommend Frank to everyone I know for home renovations and any future projects we may have RenoForce will be our first call!
All work was professionally done, on time and on budget. We were very satisfied with the quality of work accomplished.
We certainly recommend Reno Force.
Frank and his team did an outstanding job in finishing our basement. During the project we left for vacation, and Frank always kept us updated on a daily basis with the work that's been done and what will be done next. He is a very friendly, courteous professional and always available to answer questions either via text, email or phone. Excellent work and an awesome contractor to work with.
After meeting with many contractors, we reluctantly met with Frank Romano. He was a smooth talker right from the beginning and told us everything we wanted to hear.
A 2 month reno, that took 7 months....with our family of 8, being relocated that whole time.
Frank walked off our job after 3 months and being paid in full.
Many mistakes and issues that took almost 2 months to correct, that he was ready to ignore.
Renoforce did not stand accountable for anything. Way to many issues/problems to list.
$30,000 it cost us over and beyond to complete the job and also having to find contractors to come in to fix the mistakes.
10 months later, we are in our home, however we are still correcting mistakes.
These are facts....do your homework!!!
I find it funny how all these reviews are done days apart....there is no way the jobs were done in that timely matter by Frank/Renoforce, and his sub par contractors. Which I might add his team.... Ha...his teenage sons.

Defend nothing Frank... No valididation period... The moneys owing to you came fast when started. You had no plans of doing this project in a timely professional manner period.... Funny how we came up with an agreement to settle and you renaged on that as well... HVAC was something you didnt do after the fact so we needed to deal with this with someone else... As for the person in your way is a joke.. He at least tried to assist on what left as our problem...... you got way more then deserved..... shall we go thru the list of garbage left to fix???
When we first met with the Bonfields they were impressed with our projects completed to date and we came highly recommended to them from co workers so the choice was made to hire us, now during the signing of contract they had explained to us that they didnt have the funds available to start the project as she was awaiting money from her accident, they wanted to get this project going and we felt that they were honest enough as when the funds did arrive that they would pay whats owing to date so renoforce decided to fianace the start of project, excavation was done, foundation was poured, walls were framed, and no funds as of yet. finally we received a cheque... there was issues with the existing home where additional frame work would be required but not included in contract but agreed to correct and a change order was agreed on for additional money, project progressed and mutiple issues were found with existing flooring, existing Hvac etc and these items were outside the scope of our contract and at this point they decided on hiring another tradesmen to help out and went even as far as hiring him to shingle the roof which was part of our scope of work which now became a issue with us he was always in our way, we having to clean up after him the point to make here is that they were getting the wrong information, too many lies and being untruthful had us at a loss and things went very sour...project was at drywall stage and 3 months later we felt it was best for us not to continue with the contract .... there was still oustanding money owing at this point, which brings us to a letter of Agrrement to Settle which both parties signed, in the letter to settle point made that there was credit returned to them and with the amount still owing on the contract that there was sufficient amount of money to finish the scope of our contract.

Service doesn't get any better than this for Frank Romano and his crew at RENO FORCE. We had called multiple contractors before Frank, whom all came, gave quotes and promised the world - only to never hear back from them again - this all changed when Frank came to visit. From the get go - he was prompt, honest, courteous and respectful of my time - a trait that he carried throughout the entire framing project of my 1000 sq. ft. basement. Not only did he bring excellent design ideas and unique suggestions - he was quick to point out all the pro's and con's of all the other basement ideas I had up and coming to ensure things would meet our vision. He went above and beyond to help whenever called upon for additional advice, how-to and recommendations on products, project management and overall construction flow. Follow up (for any issues) were addressed promptly and obligingly. We were never afraid to ask questions with Frank - he was quick to educate and discuss options with you in a very un-threatening way. Frank he is quick to respond (by phone, text or email) and has one of the most patient and friendly dispositions I've met in a long time from any vendor and person. It's like we've know each other for years was the feeling he gave us.
Integrity, craftsmanship and quality describe him and his work best. A trait that you will take notice of from the first time you meet him through to the end of his project and beyond. He may not be the cheapest - but if you're looking for quality workmanship and a job done right on time and on budget - then RENO FORCE is your company, and Frank is your man.
Great work Frank - look forward to all my future recommendations and my future business.

We hired Reno Force after interviewing six contractors to finish our basement. He came with high references, a fair price, and a wonderful personality. From the beginning of our business with Frank we were pleased. After doing a walk through of everything we wanted complete, Frank gave us an honest timeline and stuck to it if not went quicker. His workers arrived on time, cleaned up after themselves and were always professional. Frank is the type of person that makes you feel like he is part of your family- greeting the children, and even the family dog- Frank is such a friendly person. The work Frank and his workers did was incredible. He always made sure we were happy, and if there was anything we did not like he would immediately fix it to our liking. From the framing, floors, bathroom, walls, stairs etc we were impressed with everything. Above all, Frank communicated with my husband nightly to keep him updated on what had been done that day- good communication was a huge part of this process!
We had hired Frank and his Renoforce team for helping us with a tricky home extension rebuild on a century home in the heart of the downtown. The existing extension was a hazardous eye sore that was questionably built in the 50s or 60s, on an improper foundation. It was also hard to access due to a tight lot and close nearby homes. We also had a limited budget to deal with it. After meeting with a number of other contractors, Frank was the clear choice to take on the job. We had some home sketched designs for the new extension that the Renoforce engineer turned into professional plans that we used in getting a building permit approved with no issue. From there Renoforce demolished and cleaned up the existing extension, old foundation and everything, poured a new foundation, and built the new extension to exterior completion. Along the way we had to maintain good relations with a rental property next door and its lawyer owner, that Frank personally helped go smoothly from start to finish. The work was fully completed on schedule and budget agreed upon in advance.
