Amazing work! Jabber and his team did a remarkable job on our tiles surrounding our bathtub. Did the job in record time, less than 5 days. I was extremely happy with his professionalism, communication and organization. I would not hesitate hiring this Company again for future renovations.
Jabber and his team did an excellent job renovating my bathroom. The job was completed on time with no hidden added costs. Any issues incurred was discussed and resolved. Extremely happy with his work and looking forward to using his services for future projects!
Amazing work!!! Jabber and his workers used their expertise to help us create our dream home. We hired them to do a complete Reno of our house and the entire process was professional, organized, and well run. Everything was very clear up front so we encountered no surprises throughout the project. Material and options were discussed up front and entire decor and layout reflected our wants and their experience. Extremely satisfied with the workmanship and design. The work was completed on time and the worksite was always cleaned up daily. The professionals that work for this company are dedicated to customer satisfaction, very respectful, friendly, and their work is breathtaking. I have used this company for all my projects for the past 10 years and will continue to use them for all future projects. Thank you Renoventions!!!
Started the basement renovation then hired another contractor to finish it. Sloppy work, days without anyone on site, will blatantly lie to your face with excuses why the renovation isn't being done as agreed. The work that was completed was not to industry standards. Will tell you he will do things one way and then do them completely different.
Hello, I'm not sure ebook you are Mrs. Parker but I've been off quirk WI an injury that resulted in surgery. I do not have any recollection of who you are nor any work that any member of my company had performed for you. Can you please produce a contract that you have signed with my company that shows we've done any work for you?
Jabber's warranty and promises are not worth the paper it is written on. Always full of excuses. Did not do what we expected, ie hydro code. wires are showing in the kitchen grout discolored and painting was poor as peeling occurred. Jabber blamed a leaking roof for the peeling paint. We hired a professional painter and he found no leaks and he fixed the problem very easily by using a proper primer over the oil based paint. No peeling since. We can not recommend this guy. The good news is that the subcontractor he did used for the new kitchen did a good job and the electrician only did what Jabber told him to do. Jabber claimed since the contract only indicated "to code" he conveniently interpreted it meaning 1959, the year the house was built. We did get the extra plugs but not without a lot of arguing. We are now having an "all season sunroom" added to the house and will only use well established professionals who value their reputation as a reputable contractor with a city build permit in hand or a letter from the city indicating a permit is not required.
Advice: make sure what you expect is written in the contract in detail and make him show you a building permit or written proof one is not required or get one yourself.
Well William, i completed your project 2 years ago, your start date was delayed due to your roof leaking and you hired a roofing company to replace your roof. I would have to have x ray vision in order to know you had damage in your attic. How can you deny you had water damage when you took a sample of your peeked paint 2 months after i completed your project and went into color your world to have it inspected, and they told you the problem causing the damage was damp plaster, i also hired a licensed home inspector from House Masters and he also told you the same thing. On top of all that, you refused to pay me in full for your project because i refused to replace the drywall in your kitchen and dining room and expected extra work to be done at no charge. As for the electrical, all the work we were hired to complete was inspected by ESA and you have their approval socket on your breaker panel, but we were not hired to rewire your entire house and bring it to recent code. If anyone would like proof, i will be more than happy to submit the home inspectors report along with the contact signed by William outlining the work scope i was hired to do and the outstanding balance along with photos of the completed project.
Unreliable , Delayed finish does not work on project himself
I was assured this project would not take longer than 2 weeks , took just over 4 weeks. This contractor took no responsibility and blamed the humidity for mud not drying. Would show up after lunch
work three hours and leave. He also promised me an accent tile , that never happened . Has comeback to repair cracked grout twice and some poorly cut trim work . I have further grout cracking but will no longer be contacting him as all he does is want pictures every time more grout cracks .Tub was left with dripped silicone everywhere ,which I am still attempting at removing. Miscut the tile around the tub and installed plastic trim around the tub and tile to cover up big gaps. very amateur Very disappointed !!
Hello Paul,
This is your third attempt to post a negative review. The following are copies of what took place and how this client is trying to extort me for more money for work I was never hired to perform. First paragraph is an email from the client stating he would not post a review if I paid for his tub repair that was caused 6 weeks after we had completed his renovation, I agreed to pay for half the repair just to keep him happy and resolve the issue peacefully. Now he is asking me for the amount listed below, when I refused, he posted this review. Please read below and you will clearly see that the repairs he is asking me to perform were not a part of our original scope of work, they appeared 3 months after we had completed the renovation. Please pay attention to the dates on the contract below.
Good Morning Jabber , Thanks for the quick reply.Upon reviewing your quote
I see no mention of the new exhaust fan, bathroom door , towel bar and shower curtain rod . I was
kind of in a rush yesterday so I'm not quite sure if you had mentioned this or not.
I'm really hoping that if I supply the toilet and remove the floor tiling you can do this job at $9200.00
if so then lets proceed . We will be away on July 12 as discussed should you decide proceed .
Thanks
Paul
I will not be posting any reviews of the Bathroom renovation . I do however would require you maintain your 5 year warranty I still need you to address the cracked corner of the ceiling and any future concerns . You are confident of your workmanship that shouldn't be a problem . Should you wish to cancel the warranty I will accept full responsibility of any future repairs with a payment of $1000.00 and we will dissolve any further discrepancies . Either way is fine with me .
Regards,
Paul
Hello Paul,
I just viewed the pics you sent me of the corners cracking, that is between the walls and the ceiling. If you read the contract and think back, in order to stay within your budget, you decided to remove the bottom 4 feet of drywall, we installed only the bottom 4 feet and had nothing to do with the top 4 feet. It states in the contract that we are only installing the bottom 4 feet, mud & tape only new drywall. We did not tape it nor mud it. All we did was paint your ceilings and walls after we joined the new drywall to the existing. I will be more than happy to look after it for you but it will be billed accordingly. Please understand, in order for that to be repaired properly, your existing mud and tape need to be cut out and replaced and your ceilings and walls will need repainting. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you.

UNRELIABLE !!! FULL OF EXCUSES AND APOLOGIES
we awarded the bathroom Reno with the requirement of a hard completion date. 60+ days overdue! Said the hold up was a back order. Not true. Many fits & starts ridiculous! The small bathroom did not turn out as planned. He forgot to buy the accent tile. He told me he does the work himself. Not so. Would NEVER hire him again
Hello Norma,
I am deeply sorry that you feel this way. However, some of the statements you have made are not true. The reason you required the work done was because your roof was leaking into your wall causing mold. We opened the walls upon your consent, we determined the problem was from your solar pool heater which was located on the roof of your home, we fixed the leak and corrected your heater, we agreed together to wait a couple of rain falls to make sure that the problem had been repaired. Also, there was a 3 week delivery time on the base and you are more than welcome to verify that with Bardon Plumbing. As for the accent tile, it was a mistake on my part and I did offer to redo the tiles but you refused, so I did allow you a discount to compensate you. You and Norm were also gone quite often during the week and we had no access to your hone. I also remember you were gone for a 1 week holiday. I am sorry but if there was no leak, that project would have been done within a week. Again, I am sorry you feel this way but you failed to list that any time you contacted me, I had someone there as quickly as your schedule allowed. As for me not doing the work myself, plenty of contracting companies have employees and sub-contractors. I doubt I am the only one.So at this time, I will kindly ask you to remove your comments slandering me and my company because they were not totally true. I would love to post photos if I had, but if you do, please share them.Thank you.
I am writing to share my, and my mothers, positive experience with Jabber, and his associates with RenoVentions. I found Jabber, and some of his competition who also provided quotes, on Trusted Pros.
In November 2013, Jabber came to my mother's residence in Niagara Falls to review the scope of work for a project in 2 bathrooms in my mother's condo unit. This work included removing/replacing a shower, partial rework of vanities and install 2 new granite counter tops, sinks, taps, comfort height toilets, light fixtures and the re-painting of both bathrooms.
He provided relevant input and suggestions and we made an agreement to proceed on the scope of work at a reasonable price for completion. Jabber and his associates provided good quality workmanship and were very knowledgeable with all tasks at hand. They started work on the project within a week of being hired and completed the project within the timeframe discussed, as promised, always working at a good pace. They communicated scope and status of the project well, and were punctual, each day. They also took great care to minimize disruption to my mother, by keeping the work areas clean and dust/mess to an absolute minimum throughout the project, cleaning up as much as possible at the end of each work day.Everything that was asked for to be repaired/replaced, was done professionally, quickly and at a reasonable cost.
Overall, my mother is quite happy with her two bathrooms after RenoVentions completed the project in early December of 2013. We would not hesitate to recommend Jabber to others, and to hire him for future needs of ours that may arise.
I hired jabber to renovate my kitchen , lay flooring throughout the main floor and rebuild a fire place in the living room. Jabber did such a wonderful job on all these projects. His work really up the value on our home and we are very pleased with the workman ship. Jabber was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to, he made sure to communicate with us the whole way through the projects to make sure everything were to our satisfaction. Each job was done in such a timely manner. I would recommend jabber to anyone looking to have professional work done. He's the best there is! and the price was extremely reasonable plus 5 year warranty it doesn't get better than that!
We plan on hiring Jabber again this summer so hurry before he all booked up!
Thanks again Jabber for the wonderful job you did on our home. we are more than pleased.
Jabber and his crew modernized our bathroom and fixed the previous owner's do-it-yourself plumbing on time, and on budget. The work done included a new shower with tiles, tiled floor, new closet space, ceiling fan installation, new toilet, new insulation, new drywall, new baseboards, new electrical outlets, and reversing the door so it opened in the opposite direction.
Communication between Jabber and myself was excellent. We talked about the project often after hours and he addressed all of our needs in a timely fashion. You can trust him with the keys to your house so his crew can work while you're away, and you can expect to find a clean work area when you get back.
Don't hesitate to call Renovations for your home projects. They are honest, have extremely fair prices, and won't leave until you're 100% satisfied with the job being done.
