Horrible joke for a company. THIS MAN WILL SOUND GOOD AND SAY ANYTHING YOU WANT TO HEAR, then take your money and sniff it.
Every breathe Is filled with lies, anything to take your money.
Doesnt show up when he says, says he is going to pay you back, then doesnt. EVER
I advise anyone coming in close proximity to this sad excuse of a man let alone his shotty workmanship, to run the other way.
Never use this man, unless you want to feel like you have been taken down with fancy words and shook upside down.
If I could give a negative star, I would.
ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATING!!!
A few weeks ago I came on here looking for a local contractor to finish the staining of my beautiful New Maple Hardwood Staircase. I spoke to a few people and had they come over for a quote. I met a young family man in the area by the name of. He was well mannered, respectable and knowledgeable in his craft. So I thought.... Other than his lack of respect for keeping appointment we went ahead on getting the job done.
He came over last Sat Oct 17/2020 to get started......I stepped outside for about 20 to remove the leaves from my front lawn. When I returned I couldn’t believe what I saw. My heart sank I was sick to my stomach. I confronted Matt about the mess and what the hell he did.....Matt saw no problem in his work. The dark stain was everywhere. I told him he got stain all over the place. His answer was it just need to be paint...I told him it was just painted. I didn’t know what to do. He stood there and parsed his work. He left a few minutes later and said he would return that evening to finish up. My son and girlfriend came over minutes after that. They couldn’t believe what he did. We all immediately tried cleaning up his mess as he wiped nothing down before he left. It took the 3 of us about an hour, but the damage was already done.
I have no idea how to save my stairs or the money to start over. This man destroyed my stairs and had no remorse for his actions. I am putting up this post in hope the Matthew Holster will not get into your home and do the same.
Regards,
Devastated Home Owner
He billed me for wood, took the money then never showed up or returned my calls. DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY. He left my home completely gutted. Just horrendous.
Hello, wendy.
I'm sorry for the way you feel. I was willing to do you a favour and try to help you out. Wendy, you took advantage of my generosity. The contract states that you were to have the rooms ready and the furniture moved. My crew had to remove all the bedroom furniture(4room) also had to remove all your living room furniture which was excessive. We had to move your entire kitchen and Kitchen table and island. Not once did you want to compensate me? As for the subfloor you wanted me to install it for free. You paid me $ 1600 in total which for removing all your floors and all your furniture and your trim id say you came out on top.
Best Regards
Matt
To be a legitimate contractor you need to deal with your customer. You need to make sure they are happy. Mostly and most importantly you need to show up and get the job done. None of these things were completed and when problems started the owner Mathew Hostler ghosted us. Many promises no actual action. Has a bad reputation with most local trades and has burnt too many bridges to get the job done. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! We now have to work on the damages and will definitely spread the word with all of my friends and colleagues to never ever deal with this "company." Just give us a refund! (Review with the deck sounds very similar to our situation but ours is much worse.) Oh, The big hole was left with out any concern to our many young children and dog. Highly don't recommend.
We hired Executive Custom Contracting firm on October 19, 2019 to replace a wooden deck staircase and were invoiced a total amount of $1,400 plus tax. The owner, Mathew Hostler, asked for a 50% deposit of the total fee to purchase materials. We transferred $780 to him on October 19th and received an email from him saying that he received the money and he would finish the work within a couple days. He came the following day to remove a few steps with a portion of the guard rail and left. He hasn't shown up to complete the work since. We have emailed and called him many times asking either for refund or to complete the work immediately, but we've received no response when contacting him from our personal e-mail and phone numbers. The only way we have been able to get in touch with him is by using different telephone numbers to contact him, and every time he has given us a different reason to why he didn't show up that week to complete the work we've hired him to do. He also asked us to contact Cris, who seems to be the only other review on this website. The stairs have remained in hazardous condition since then. To add to this, the removed wooden steps have now started to wrap and change in shape. I'm sick of dealing with him. He is not an honest contractor and I am not happy at all with his service. I would not recommend anyone to hire him as he will just scam you for your money. Current condition photos and communication with him are available upon request. This case has been reported to better business bureau and Ministry of Government and Consumer Services Consumer Protection Branch.
Adeeb.
From the moment you first called me to tell me about the project was not completely finished I offered to refund your deposit and complete the job at no cost. I have several email which i could post. You acted like a angry child that had a temper tantrum. Dealing with you has been a complete nightmare. To this day I still offer you your money back.
I wish you the very best.
Best Regards
Matt
I hired ECC to help me out with a small renovation I was doing in my basement. They came immediately to give me a free quote and also pointed out a few things I should do as well.
Even went out there way to show me so I could do it myself to save some money.
They were consistent on communication and letting me know any issues or surprises we had to deal with.
The project did take a bit longer then expected but I do know construction isn’t ever very punctual hahaha but they did keep me informed to why and had solutions to make sure we would avoid any more set backs in the process. Over all I was satisfied with them. They are a young company so I can def see them growing well and offering their services to more customers.
