Jed from River City Home Inspection was great! We first noticed a smell in our living room where our one-year old always played. When we discovered the mold we called River City Home Inspections, Jed was the one to answer and take our call. We explained to him the situation and our concern for our child's health. His understanding of the situation and solutions for immediate service and payment helped ease my feeling of stress and worry.

I was having issues with some relatively new windows and doors leaking and the installing contractor was giving me the run around. One of his many excuses included poor exterior wall insulation. I decided to search out a Thermal Imaging provider to get an idea if and where these insulation deficiencies might be if they did exist.

I reached out to many providers. Some didn't reply at all, some said my job was too small and they weren't interested and some charged rates that seemed extreme. River City Home Inspection initially caught my eye because their rates were very competitive. For that reason, I was somewhat skeptical as you often “get what you pay for.” However, when I called, Jed took more than 20 minutes discussing the imaging system and hardware he used, explained the specifics of his services, learned about my specific concerns and needs, and most importantly, explained the specifics of how his service could and could not realistically be applied to my specific situation.

Having significantly renovated two homes, much of the work completed by myself over the past 5 years, I felt very good about our conversation, Jed's professional knowledge and his understanding of my needs. I believe the service he provided went above and beyond the simple Thermal Imaging package I paid for, not because I asked for a deal but because he felt the additional effort necessary to adequately address the issue for which I hired his services. In the end, Jed was able to identify a couple of potential issues that were likely to have caused or exasperated the leaking and I now have a clear plan for addressing the issues.
