Got referred to a guy named Gary and he fixed the furnace that was squeaking... it only lasted for one day and was charged almost $170... what a waste of money... Then I called him and asked him if he could do something about it. He said he was going to contact his friend to get a price and I said I wanted to get a quote and he said "If you are not serious, then I'm not getting you the price." What horrible customer service!!
If only there was an option to not assign stars at all... That is exactly how awful they are.
A routine cartridge replacement turned into a full-fledged drama.
We called Riverside to get a cartridge replaced as they are the plumbing company of our apartment complex. The first time we called for a quote, we were told that a replacement cartridge was $30 and 1/2 hour of labour was $110. We agreed to the aforementioned price even though we were told by Moen that replacement cartridges are free because we couldn't be without a functioning washroom for 5 more days (the amount of time it would take for Moen to have a new cartridge mailed).
When we called to confirm the appointment, we were told that the cartridge was $31. We shrugged it off and agreed to the price.
Once the cartridge was installed, our plumber said that he had to call the office to confirm the price of the cartridge. The person on the phone insisted that the cartridge was $60 instead of the $30 quoted twice before. This person claimed that no one would have said that the cartridge was $30 since it was and always has been $60.
Unfortunately, that was a blatant lie as we had been quoted the $30 +/- $1 price not once but TWICE prior to the actual appointment.
Our plumber then tried to bargain with us since he needed to head to his next appointment, and so we begrudgingly had to agree to pay $40 for a cartridge that is replaced free by the manufacturer (Moen).
It strikes me as odd that something that should have been free and then was firmly priced at $60 was then readily given for $40.
This is the most unprofessional behaviour I have ever come across and if I never have to do business with them again, I will be glad for it.
I am so pleased with the courteous and quick service that I received from Riverside Heating & Plumbing when I discovered the pipes were leaking underneath my kitchen and bathroom sinks. I would highly recommend this company to others to try!
