My 19th Century 3 bedroom/1 washroom house was in need of new flooring, washroom and kitchen. Ryan was up front about costs and expectations and stuck religiously to the budget from the onset. He was able to keep the costs low for me and yet still provide a high quality finish. The washroom proved to be the most problematic, a tight space and some very old plumbing. Ryan's team was still able to complete this on time and on budget. Ryan was always accessible by phone or text and gave me a lot of confidence that the project was on target.
Overall I was very happy with the quality of the work and Ryan's management of his team. Once the tenants had moved in there were a few follow-up issues and Ryan dealt with them within hours of being alerted. I would totally recommend Rosko Inc. for any home renovation project.
Submitted project on Trusted Pros and received several replies from various contractors including Ryan from Rosko Inc. We found Ryan to be responsive not only initially but during the quote and ultimately over the course of the project. The project started on time and stayed on budget. Ryan was able to provide qualified trades for various aspects of the project at competitive prices based on other quotes we had received.
We found his guys to be friendly and accommodating while doing the work and cleaned up after themselves after each work day. During the project and final inspection Ryan was cooperative and made adjustments as requested.
Overall, we are pleased with the outcome of the renovations and have received very positive feedback regarding our homes transformation.
Great communication, and Ryan zoned in on what we wanted and pictured. Job was done within our schedule and did not have to wait. Minor details like finishing touches could have perfected the experience but none the less we were very pleased with the final result. Very professional and accommodating.
Ryan and his team at Rosko Inc. had a vision for our Tyandaga home which required four brand new bathrooms which had not been changed since our home was built in the 1970's. The dedication and workmanship of Rosko Inc. is second to none and the final product on each bathroom was incredible. Ryan was available at a moment's notice to answer any questions or concerns we had throughout the entire process. Family and friends have always comment on how much they like our new bathrooms and we always recommend Rosko Inc.as a result of their great work.
Excellent transaction. Ryan scheduled a time to do an estimate/quote. Explained what could be done to solve my problem. Managed my expectations.
Price never deviated from original quote. His workers were polite and cleaned up after project was complete.
Will absolutely work with again for upcoming projects.
Ryan Rosko was great. Our experience with another flooring contractor who started our project was less than expected, we found Ryan Rosko who stepped in to get it done. Job was done quickly and efficiently. We'll be calling Rosko again when its time for our next project.
Ryan and his workers were all very helpful in completing our project. They (Ryan and his wife) Rosko Inc, came and gave us a plan and estimate on finishing this to our satisfaction. Both he and his wife gave us good suggestions as well as a time fame to suit us.
His work crew were very careful, hard workers and pleasant to talk to. They were experts in their field and very fussy about getting everything done properly.
Our basement is beautiful and greatly admired by family and friends alike.
We have nothing but praise for the whole experience and would highly recommend Rosko Inc for a fair price for excellent work.
Sincerely,
Beverly Rose
Our experience with Rosko Inc was negative in many ways. Ryan (owner) was nice to deal with at first and seemed knowledgeable, but ended up being absent in our recent kitchen reno. Contract turned out to be too vague which left room for price increases to do the job properly. They cut lots of corners, sloppy workmanship, didn't clean up after themselves or even use drop sheets, high employee turnover, not using proper qualified workers and not getting the proper permits required by law. Made some crucial mistakes resulting in us not getting what we signed up for. Lots of lies and excuses along the way. Was scheduled to take 30 days and we ended up giving a final deadline 75 days in, which they did not meet so we were left to finish it on our own just before xmas. Ryan didn't even visit the job-site to review workmanship or to see the mess that the place was left in. When I disputed final payment, he got quite nasty and threatened to place a lien on my house. I settled with a co owner who seemed to be the only reasonable person to deal with. VERY unprofessional and could not recommend this company to anyone.
We at Rosko Inc believe we made every effort to stay on budget and on time with this clients project and strive for a great experience with all of our clients. Gary (the client) had made numerous changes to this project through the course of his project such as the removal of hardwood floors through out his entire main floor, all new trim work through out the entire main floor, additional electrical (8 pot lights in living area, bedroom lighting in 3 bedrooms, and additional plumbing) the client also subcontracted his own cabinet make( a personal friend of his) which resulted in slow communication of critical layout factors resulting in holds on project movement. The client also had a secondary contractor present at the same time finishing the entire basement which resulted in many unclean work areas. The duration of our time spent there are work area was separated with barriers, and all floors in that area were covered with cardboard, and plywood. Rosko inc tried to quell the clients by offering several discounts which were accepted by the client for delays in project completion totalling $4500.0 over 15% of the entire project. It is unfortunate that this client has made a poor review, all we can say is we hope we could have done better but are at a loss of what more we could have done to keep this client happy.

Rosko Inc has received complaints from their suppliers and/or creditors and employee and/or sub-contractor complaints
Complaint: Ryan Rosko owes our company (Merlo Electric Inc.) over $4500 for a kitchen renovation in Stoney Creek. We did a panel change and the electrical for the kitchen in February of 2014 and he still hasn't paid our company. If you are a sub, watch out for this guy.
No novice electricians were sent, as Merlo Electric Inc. is one of Hamilton's oldest and most recognized electrical company in Hamilton, with clients such as the HWCDSB, City Of Hamilton, Costco and City Housing of Hamilton and Victoria Park Community Homes, our reputation speaks for itself (www.merloelectric.com).
Entire job was quoted, so no additional costs were added. No complaints were filed, and the job was completed with no issues I was made aware of, except for Rosko paying us. When reaching out to Ryan, he acted as if we did not do the work, at least now he is admitting to ripping us off. Of course, we are now letting the courts deal with the matter.
Reply From Rosko IncUnfortunately this company had sent in novice apprentice electricians that preformed sub par electrical work, and Rosko inc had to fix several hazardous issues that occurred after there work was completed. We had contacted Andrew who estimated the work to be completed on several occasions with the complaints we were receiving from our clients, with no resolve we had to address the issue at our cost. There invoice was received several months later after repeated requests for the full cost. When the invoice was sent it was then an additional $1500.00 of charges were placed above the original agreed upon price.I don't believe Merlo Electric is a bad company however the inexperienced workers and estimator Andrew proved to problematic and will be for any company that deal with this particular incompetent person and his team.
Complaint: I was the Manager of Construction for Ryan and his wife Teresa. I was hired by them to bring their company to the next level. It lasted three months and I soon realized just how bad this company is. He was fined by the electrical inspectors for 5 consecutive jobs for using non licensed electricians and not having permits, his wife Teresa who ran the office was sentenced to one year in prison for fraud. I know of 4 trades that he did not pay even though the work was done and cleared by myself.
I spent most of my days defending his poor construction designs and decisions to his clients on his behalf due to his complete lack of knowledge of the construction trade.
Proceed with severe caution and get every thing in writing up front !!!
