Skanes General Contracting

We hired Skanes to replace the flooring on our main floor and renovate our kitchen, including moving plumbing, adding pot lights and other electric, and coordinating the installation of our new cabinets and countertop. I was very happy with the communication from Jen and her team. Onsite, Brian provided me with frequent updates, helped with decisions that needed to be made along the way, and left my home as clean and organized as possible at the end of each workday. The project ran on time and was completed to our satisfaction. The quality of work was top notch, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire Skanes again for another reno!

These guys and girls are pros! They do the job right the first time, no nagging required. They finished our basement and did a beautiful job. Can’t recommend them enough! They are coming back next spring to build us a deck and we can’t wait!

We worked with Skanes to do a full main floor renovation of our house. We met with five different contractors for this project and the first thing that impressed me about Skanes was that they were the only ones to suggest checking the drywall for asbestos (we’re in an older home). Low and behold, there was a little bit, which we were able to remediate safely. For the bulk of the renovation, we left the city to avoid the construction. Jen and Andre were in constant communication and made me feel completely at ease not being present. We received regular, thorough updates, complete with photos. The project went as smoothly as I think it possible could have. We are SO happy with the end product…everything was done perfectly. We have a few more renovations planned over the coming years and I will only call Skanes when the time comes to get started.

After completing the proper due diligence by receiving multiple quotes and then checking references, I hired Skanes Contracting to undertake a complete renovation of a bathroom. I have nothing but glowing comments for Skanes General Contracting for the following reasons:

1. Good Communication: Andre and Jen provided regular communications as to how the project was proceeding

2. Quality of Work: There was a strong attention to details as I was very pleased with the final product. The job site was left in job shape and tidy

3. On Time: The project was made all the more challenging because Andre and company had to complete the job in one month...which they did

4. Budget: The final price was very close to the budget, the only overage was due to changes I made

I think the most impressive part about dealing with Andre and Jen is that they are honest. For me this is such a valuable quality when dealing with contractors because not all contractors share this same quality.

I appreciate that this review sounds so one sided but I really had a positive experience with Skanes Contracting. I have no reservations in recommending Skanes Contracting.
