We contracted Mario and his crew to demolish existing flooring, and install new hardwood, and replace interior doors in our condo. From the first meeting to offer us an estimate, Mario was simply a great professional to deal with. He presents as friendly, competent, respectful and exudes confidence that comes from a business and trades person who really knows what he is doing.

Mario’s communication with us was beyond our expectations. He was in regular contact with us throughout the process, whether to check-in about the next day’s schedule or inquire about how satisfied we were with his team of pros. With each step of the process, his team also expressed, and showed consideration for the impact the construction process had on our living space. He was straightforward, respectful, reasonable, honest (honouring his initial estimate, without any surprises), an d made excellent suggestions along the way with his sharp eye for detail and perfectionism. He was regularly on site during the process and ultimately, the workmanship was top-notch and end product fantastic.

I have been in the tile business as a sales person for more than 15 years. Last year I did my house reno and I chose Mario from SM Pyramid to do the tile work.

The job was really challenging because we used a large sizes of tiles 36"x72" for all bathrooms. I one of them he tiled a ceiling as well. Mario did an amazing job. I will always recommend him.

Mario did the tiling in our quest bathroom floor and his plumbers put in the drain. our floor in the shower stall after less than two month is rusting his response was fix it your self. the drain not his problem.

When we first started our renovations I mentioned to Mario I would like wood stairs but they would be to expensive he said he could but them in and would give us a deal.

He did such a poor job I had to ask him to re-do them three times.

Our neighbours and friends would come in and ask what is he doing they are all uneven the cuts did not match the length of the stairs, even molding would not solve the problem they were cut so uneven.

He could see no problem with them. his only response to the issue was about the time he spent on them. I'm not a difficult person to get along with but his workman ship has a lot to be desired along with his professionalism.

Finally I told him to take them out and I would have carpet put in.

When we started to have more issues with him we decided to cut or losses while we could.He complained about all the time he spent on the stairs and how much money it cost him.

If he would have done a proper job on the stairs to begin with there would not have been an issue. he refuses to come back and fix the problems he created.

After some online research and couple of meetings with other contractors we hired Mario for the renovations. He seemed competent and his quote was reasonable.

Initial plan was to change the flooring everywhere in an 1100sqf apartment and to do minor upgrades in both bathrooms. However, we ended up with complete renovations, including kitchen.

We are very happy with the final results. Despite the variety of surprises that were hidden in an old building, Mario and his team worked professionally and were able to solve all the issues.

Mario’s collaboration with us was excellent. Numerous times we just blindly followed his suggestions and the results were beyond of our expectations. In the evenings Mario was informing us about his plans for the next day. All work was done in a timely manner and as promised. The team worked coherently. We liked that they were cleaning the working area during their job and in the evenings.

We highly appreciated Mario’s follow up visit in 3 weeks after the completion of the project.
