Overcharged for the drive up, despite the truck breaking down and having to switch everything out to another truck. Spent an hour arguing with the guy at the office while the movers held my belongings on the truck. Move started at 9:30am and didn't finish until midnight. Should only have been a 2.5 hour drive up, but tried to charge me for 7.5. Eventually dropped it to 5, but that's still double. Would NOT recommend.

Movers from Smart Movers moved my family from Hamilton to Niagara on the lake .They used lage size track and feet all our belongings in one trip and save our time and money. Job was done properly and highly professionally. I was impressed. Thank you SMART MOVERS

2 months ago a family member was taken from us in a tragic accident. As a family we have been forced to deal with grief and heartache that never should have happened. Now, all that remains are our memories and the treasures that she took such great care of.
Today we hired Smart Movers Hamilton to move our family members precious hutch...something that has been in the family for years. Not only did they damage the hutch...but they treated my aunt and family with pure disrespect. The damage has been blamed on my aunt and we are completely distraught about having the be faced with another difficulty. This is one of the few items we have left and because of their lack of integrity it will sit in my aunts living room damaged.
What is most painful about this is seeing the way they spoke to family admist their pain. No one should ever be treated the way she was. Smart Movers needs to follow through with the very thing they 'pride' themselves in:
"Smart Movers is financially responsible if any valuables are damaged during relocation. We self-insure all items and use only the best equipment and packing materials available to further protect your possessions"
We contacted smart movers based on their high standard of values. What we have learned recently is that these are just words on a website. The company does not stand behind what they say.
We are already fixed all the problems with your aunt. Sorry,all that happened by misunderstanding.

Movers went above and beyond my expectations. They wrapped all my furniture with blankets and shrink wrap. Movers were extremely professional, very friendly and did amazing job. All my stuff arrived with NO damages. This is an excellent company. Thank you Smart Hamilton Movers. I will recomnend you to all my friends and family.

Our belonging got pretty beat up in the move. All of our wooden funature is now scratched and scuffed to some degree. I would only suggest using Smart Movers Hamilton if you have crappy funature and don't care about your stuff because they don't seem to.
