Soare Contracting specializes in metal roofing (steel roofing), flat roofing (torch-on), fibreglass shingle installation and complete gutter systems. We are a family owned and operated company that has been roofing in Victoria since 2001 providing roof installation and repair services in Greater Victoria and surrounding areas, Southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. We are a member of the Better Business Bureau of Vancouver Island, the Independent Contractors and Businesses Association of British Columbia and the Vancouver Island Construction Association.

When it comes to roofing installation, particularly metal roofing, we believe that proper installation is critical and attention to flashing detail is where the value lies. At Soare Contracting we offer a 26g or 24g snap-lock standing seam metal roofing panels. It is what we have found to be tried and true, so much so that we offer a non-depreciating labour warranty against leaks on all of our roofs. Keep in mind that the gauge of metal roofing is similar to golf - the lower the number the better (thicker). Because we have our own Zimmerman roll form roofing machine, we are able to offer 12" to 20" panels which are manufactured right on the job site (perfect for water catchment and/or solar panels).

In addition to reroofs and new construction, Soare Contracting offers continuous gutter systems. Because we have our own gutter machine, each section is run out on your job site in either 5 or 6 gutters. There is a wide range of colours available to choose from and you have the choice of aluminum or steel gutters.

With roof repairs there is always specific detail given to and discussions had with the property owner as roof repairs are something that must be weighed out for each individual roof. The property owner ultimately must make an educated decision based on the condition of their particular roof as to whether or not it is cost effective to continue repairing their roof versus a roof replacement.

We are the preferred Victoria roofing company of many home and commercial building owners because we provide quality workmanship and are safety conscious. Soare Contracting employees are covered by Work Safe BC and we carry additional liability insurance, including open flame.
