WE MADE A MISTAKE. We hired Spectrum Design Group to complete a 12ft x 8ft concrete pad work and before the project started we met up and contracted a price $1500 + tax with Marvin. We pad a 50% via etransfer deposit for the work that was supposed to be completed in a day. Marvin seemed very trust worthy and professional and we discussed additional projects which we were interested in doing and his team could deliver if contracted.
Unfortunately the project was started and was not completed in a day. I raised concerns on the quality of the work and Marvin told us it would be resolved, however it was not and Marvin and they worker never came back and finish partially completed job. The pad was not level, the concrete mix and pour was so poor it started to crack. They stopped answering my calls and text messages and they charged my credit card an additional $1700+. NEVER hire this company or trust Marvin for any project.
I have now had to hire an another company to take out the poor work and complete the project at our additional cost while trying to recover the money they stole from us. I will be bring this company up with the better business bureau to prevent this from happening to any other family from this company.

Upon 1st conversation Corrie expressed that all prep work would be done by himself and all Spectrum was secured to do was to pour a concrete pad 10 x 10 ft in his backyard.
Client was to grade the area and construct the concrete form.
When we arrived at the site the client had not graded the area where the concrete pad was to be poured nor did he construct the forms he had said he was going to do keep the cost of project down
This now took my team extra time to grade the area and construct the form, before we could ever begin to pour concrete.
Because of where the pad was to be positioned and the grading was more than anticipated meant more materials, screening and concrete.
Also when project was being quote client was given 2 options
1. To have a basic pad poured for his shed without a concrete finished to give perfect finish since it was just for a tool shed.
2. Pay an extra charge for a concrete finisher to give a perfect smooth finish
Client choose option 1 to keep his cost down
After the concrete pad was poured we returned another day too give a basic smooth top coat to make pad smooth.
Client was told not to touch the concrete form structure to let the concret dry and become solid. That same day after we left client removed the form and caused the problems with the concret base and top coat finish. He cause the issue with the pad not the installation.
If form had to be left as we instructed the pad would have been a very high and good finish. However to save money once again client chose to take it upon himself to remove form and caused the concrete to shift and leave a bad finish.
Client paid deposit via and EFT
When all the extra work and material were calculated because project had changed client signed a complete work order form and signed of project was done to his satisfaction and presented his credit card to pay the final bill for project.
Latter client because very harassing and aggressive to the point even to the point the client even persisted to verbally attach me while I was dealing with a death in family of calling over 50 times in 1 day
Any issued with theis project was the client tried to do it in a cost effect manner and the result was caused by his own doing.
Marvin and his team undertook a bathroom reno for us and did a terrific job of executing our plans while offering their experience and expertise when the unexpected arose. They were efficient, courteous, and communicative, and very reasonably priced. We were very pleased with the quality of work and service.
I hired SPECTRUM for a number of renovations in my home. 3 full bathrooms, additional storage in my basement rooms and completely rebuilding my front porch.
Like many people, I have had that ugly misfortune of dealing with some horrific contractors in the past. Situations were they overcharged, provided mediocer work, telling me I needed to do work that I did not or leaving my home even worse off than it was....
Right from the very first meeting, Marvin put me completely at ease. He explained everything in detail, kindly answered all my questions with clarity and simplicity. He was knowledgeable, trustworthy, reasonably priced and calming.
He treats every client like family. He goes out of his way to help in any capacity he can. He holds your hand through the entire process, provides direction, feedback, comfort and reassurance! HIGHLY RECOMMEND SPECTRUM DESIGN.
I have used Spectrum Design for my home renovation several times in the past.
I have always been satisfied with the results. Marvin provides competitive quotes and
gets the job done within the agreed upon time frame. Marvin and his team show up on time and leave the final job neat and tidy.
I definetly will utilize his services again in the future
