Watch out for this guy!!! He's a scammer. He did some basic renovations and really messed it up. My bathroom plumbing was destroyed and it cost me $1000 to fix what he messed up. Worse he said he's to busy to come and take a look but when I called him from another number, he was willing to take on a new job.
I would like to offer the following rebuttal to the "review" by "Ronal" - actual name Shaan, of Beaconsfield , QC
My company was not found through Handy Canadian (Now Trusted Pro's) and as well, client (Shaan) has begun a smear campaign at other websites to "warn" others of my having "destroyed his plumbing". I am considering legal action in response to Shaan's actions.
Shaan has also posted on numerous other websites dealing with contractors, claiming wild things about how my services were terrible and outright lying about what I did and how it turned out. All of the offending postings have been removed due to the false statements made by the so-called "client" Trusted Pro's has so far refused to remove the offensive comments and as such I will rebut the false claims made by Shaan.
For the record. I was never hired by Shaan to carry out any renovations in his home. I was hired to install a dishwasher, which, in spite of jury-rigged wiring and plumbing, which had to be remediated by myself, was done correctly.
The claim that I carried out a basic renovation in the bathroom is totally and completely false. I was never hired to renovate said bathroom. TO STATE OTHERWISE IS A LIE. The rest of the so-called "review" is therefore also false.
Shaan's home had an uneven floor in the bathroom which allowed the toilet installed above it to rock front to back 1/8" The toilet floor was incorrectly built - not level - and the toilet was installed on top of an unleveled spot where two tiles met.
Shaan asked if I could take a look at it. I told client that this toilet should be removed, floor leveled and re-installed. Shaan refused, as he didn't want to spend the money.
To establish some background, the entire home was filled with deficiencies, in the kitchen, both bathrooms, and other areas in the house. Cheap materials had been used throughout and finishing was either incorrect, or at the most basic of levels.
Shaan asked if something could be done to stop the movement. I told him that toilet shims could be used to stop the rocking although the flange seal was definitely suspect and that a professional plumber should be called to be sure there was no leakage. Toilet shim was installed approx 1/3 of the tip of the shim was used in two places to stop the toilet movement. Toilet was flushed several times and no seepage was evident. Shaan was again told that this measure in NO WAY prevented a leak and that a licensed plumber should be called.
Shaan now claims that some unknown third party has "determined" that the shims installed were too thick and that they are the cause of a leak, not the back and forth rocking of a toilet installed on a defective floor. Shaan is trying to claim that leak only occurred after toilet stopped rocking.
My contention is, has been and always will be that a rocking toilet is a leaking toilet and the limited use the toilet saw is the only reason a leak had not declared itself sooner. Shaan was told this and refused to act on this advice.
When Shaan demanded that I effect repairs, at my own cost, in response to a determination made by some third party whose credentials were never established, I refused. I reiterated that I had advised that the toilet should have been removed and the floor repaired before it was put into use.
Then, unsatisfied with my refusal to assume fault and undertake repairs of same, Shaan promised "consequences" and used a threatening manner.
Here is the result. Shaan accuses me of destroying his plumbing (an exorbitant statement). when in fact Shaan s problem stemmed from an already deficient and defective installation of a toilet and his refusal to undertake the proper corrective measures. This, in spite of my repeated warnings to the contrary and having advised Shaan to carry out remedial action.
