I am never written a review of a contractor before, but these people are worth it! Why, because they did what they said they would do, they did it well, and they did not push unreasonable extra costs on me. I have worked with a lot of contractors over the years, but my first call is now Straw Hat.

James and Jason and their team were fabulous to work with. They removed our out dated stone flooring and replaced its with modern great quality vinyl plank. Its an old Toronto home with previous work done to it that was sub par - therefore hard to work with - they made it work perfectly. They were very responsive, listened to our concerns and made sure we were happy with the end product regardless of how long it took. We were comfortable to leave them in our home when we were working and were always just a quick message away. They always cleaned up after their day was done and went out of their way to ensure supplies and items were not impacting our day to day life. We couldn't have asked for better service.
We have use Jason and James twice and are very pleased. Our garage roof was leaking and we knew it was time to replace it. They gave us a realistic time frames and were very respectful of our shared drive way with our neighbors and ensured everything was clean and cleared when they went home for the day. Our roof is no longer leaking and looks great! I'm sure we will use them again.

I met the twins at the fall home show this year and they were extremely pleasant. My husband and I were looking for contractors that would renovate our basement but unfortunately we were out of luck. Fortunately, the Straw Hat twins had years of experience and extremely trustworthy. I love the idea that it's a family business and everyone was committed to their success. Our basement needed extreme make over and they did it in less than 3 weeks. I recommend them to everyone that needs renovation and we definitely would use them again!

We met the Straw Hat team at the Home Show and had a great convo about re-doing our kitchen. The team over delivered on the finished product, myself and my partner could not be more ecstatic from our new kitchen. We now have a kitchen we are proud to host people over.
