We hired Suite B early this spring for a bathroom and bedroom reno to be done...before the summer. We were expecting a large number of guests and though we thought it may be too late to complete - let's see what could be done. The project included taking the bathroom down to the studs and building back up, with some innovative layout planning to replace a shower stall with soaker tub/rain shower, plus bedroom flooring, re-build walls, painting and re-working of out-dated sliding door & balcony. Jordan came in and provided both a quick schedule and great pricing. We had seen his work already and knew we would get quality workmanship and he and his team delivered on that. The best part, they were well priced and ahead of schedule. We were able to get another bedroom done in hardwood as bonus. Terrific company - reliable, deliver quality work ... and the best part - they work hard to get the job done for the customer. Highly recommended and we will use again.
In the summer of 2010, I retained the services of Suite B contracting to transform an unfinished area (no insulation, concrete floors, only one electrical outlet and a makeshift work bench) into a space with a kitchen, washroom, loft and a main living area. From my first interactions with Jordan, I immediately felt like I could trust him (and by extension, his team) to get the job done. Despite the challenges associated with obtaining the permits, Jordan persisted, and I did receive the proper permits. Jordan and his team worked quickly and efficiently to get the job done - on time! We'd decided to downsize, but were not ready for condominium living. We found a 1940's home, centrally located with a private yard, but without any updating to speak of. The interior was cramped and dark, but the home did have a full height developable basement.
We worked with Jordan of Suite B to devise an open concept plan that not only retained, but enhanced the character of the home. The home was transformed from a dark 3 bd/1 bth to an airy 2 bd/2 bth with a fantastic layout including a completely updated kitchen/dining area separated from the living room by a stunning and energy efficient gas fireplace. Jordan further opened up the space by designing a unique three way arch between the rooms. Transforming the basement to a 2 bd/ 1 bth revenue suite with additional storage is planned for the future.
After moving in, we found the ground floor access to the back yard awkward. Jordan designed a lovely elevated veranda deck, with stairs to the patio, accessed by a French door off the kitchen. It's like our own tree house! We couldn't be happier with our home! It really has that 'wow' factor we were hoping for.
Employed to do concrete foundation work. Resulted in a very poor, unsatisfactory finish, and an invoice 40% more than estimate. Will never deal with him or his unprofessional crew again.
