We hires Syd's Flooring to refinish our very worn hard wood floors in the living and dining rooms.

These guys were great. Started and finished when promised. The floors look fantastic and they repaired some missing boards to blend in beautifully. Got rid of some annoying squeaks too! I would recommend this company to anyone.

My husband and I were delighted with the service given by Syd's Flooring. I gave them a five star rating on each category because they absolutely deserve it. The quality of work was excellent, no mess, virtually no dust, careful clean up and a stunning finish. I had no idea that such a beautiful floor was hiding under 30 years of use.
The two man crew was always very prompt and curteous. They stayed on budget to the cent.
I am really speechless at the excellence of the whole project; how smoothly it went, how reasonably priced it was and how nice and personable the guys were.
I give them a total A+ and would recommend them whole heartedly to anyone searching for a refinishing contractor. Don't waste time comparing companies. These guys are the best.

Syd and his team took their time to carefully match the stain and made sure that the floor did not had any imperfections of any kind! Very caring and dedicated team of guys..glad to show anyone their work and highly recommend syd for your projects. ..

We ordered material after Syd's Flooring took measurments. They arrived on time and had respect for our house-put down matts and hung plastic as needed. All cutting was done in the garage as per our request. Floor was completed in very timely manner, hardly any wasted product and a good clean up after they finished including a sweep in the garage. Will ask them to come back to quote for refinishing some of our hardwood floors on the main floor level.

From sanding the floor, to applying the finish, to putting down the toilet seat, we will treat your home and floor as if it were our own. Floor refinishing is an art that takes extreme skill to properly execute and we take great pride in the quality of our work.
Our main focus is to provide you with an outstanding service. Transforming your floor, whether it be 5 years old or 100 years old, into the beautiful piece of art it has the potential to be.
Services we offer:
Refinishing - 98% dust free sanding. With a professional dust containment system we are able to eliminate harmful dust that would normally be airborn throughout the house during sanding. With this process we are able to remove cupping, deep scratches, dents, and other damage. You can also change the colour of the floor with over 80 selections of stain colour. Refinishing requires sanding the floor to remove all the varnish and stain down to the bare wood to achieve a flat and even surface. We offer both oil and waterbased products when refinishing your hardwood floor in either a satin or semigloss finish.
Refresh - NOT FOR PREFINISHED FLOORING. 99% dust free. This process doesn't require sanding down to bare wood and is used when your on-site hardwood floor is still in good condition but the varnish has dulled down. It also removes minor surface scratches. This requires prepping the floor with a special solution that removes dirt, oil, and any other contaminants that may interfere with varnish application then scuffing the top layer of varnish using a specific abrasive disc to assure proper adhesion of the new top coat and finally 1 application of high traffic aluminum oxide waterbased varnish.
Stairs - We can refinish your existing stair treads. We also do installation of new stairs.
Installation - We only install solid hardwood flooring and engineered hardwood.
