On Feb 15 2016 I found an Electrical Co in the internet.
I had that person come to my storefront - building that had had an electrical fire. I wanted him to fix all the electrical service to be able to open my store again.
He said he could do everything but would need 1/2 down on a $2700 quote - to cover the cost of him going to the City to get an inspector to come out to view what needed to be done and then start the job.
I met with him once more and gave him $1300.
His name is Darius Razutis - the Co is Tanas Electric.
I talked to him on the phone twice - he said he was very busy with a 24 hour a day job in Surrey. I gave him the benefit of the doubt thinking he would get the permit from the City when he had some time.
21 days later (day before yesterday) I decided to call the City.
They have not heard from him.
I had them try to contact him.
That evening he phoned and said he'd give me back the $1300. and would call me and meet me yesterday in the evening when he came into Vancouver after his busy job.
He did not call.
He has not responded to my emails.
His phone will not take messages any more.
After having the Vancouver City Hall contact him twice - he has now returned my deposit.
I would caution anyone that wanted to hire Darius Razutis of Tanas Electric to be very careful - his business address is just a PO Box outside of New Westminster B.C.

The site noted in this review did have an electrical fire. This fire was started due to electrical work the reviewer did her self (as stated by her during our initial meeting). Both BC Hydro and the Vancouver Fire Department shut down the site and pulled the electrical service, putting a do not occupy notice in place.
An estimate was provided to bring the site up to Code, a deposit made, and an agreement that the space would be brought to satisfactory working conditions by the reviewer.
Three site visits were made to view the progress of the site clean up, during all three visits virtually no clean up had occurred.
Unfortunately the working environment was not up to standards.
No work was started on our end, after a conversation with the reviewer, I offered to return the deposit, the deposit was returned in full.
(Yes I do take full responsibility for the 24 hour delay in returning the deposit, for that I am sorry, I simply could not make it back into town on time)

PS. As stated I was unresponsive. This may have been in part caused by the reviewer calling well over 30 times from both her number and a blocked number during a 1 hour period... thereby filling up my voicemail.
