1. Price quoted included the use of superior materials and construction practices; inferior materials and contruction practices were employed when the customer was not present to ensure that these were adhered to.
2. Incessant requests for large amounts of money upfront for materials and to pay subcontractors without significant progress being made on the project.
3. Serious flaws in the quality of the workmanship which required extensive repair and additional expense before they passed safety inspection and were up to basic building code standards.
4. When contractor was confonted about timing delays, poor quality and workmanship, work being stalled for days at a time he walked off the job. Subsequent re-negotiations, a further deposit of money to him on his promise to return to complete the work saw him disappear with the money and not return.
5. Attempts to further contact him and have him complete and correct the work were not possible. A Court judgement was obtained against him and his electrical subcontractor which he has continued to ignore.
