The project was abandoned when partially completed by Shawn Piskovic. Several vendors and sub-contractors surfaced later unpaid. The work that was competed did not match the approved drawings. Despite being advanced monies and endless promises to make good on what he owed Shawn has done nothing but run and hide. Not reliable or credible.
Here we have a he said/he said matter that just should have been handled properly. Instead it was throw into this garbage pail of a website like the other unfortunate contractors / victims throughout the country.
Just another random "keyboard cowboy" who decided to take his comments to this website instead of confronting in person to deal with it civilly and professionally.
In conclusion,
There is an active judgment for slander and defamation against this person "Chuck" as he did not even show up for court to defend himself. Goes to show how far people will go when they don't get their way.
Best part is this website still has this posting up as they wont even honor their own in house removal rules, good job Max!

We hired this firm to do a kitchen renovation. The job was 80% complete, Shawn Piskovic cashed our cheque and never returned to complete the project.
It has been 2 months since our last contact with Mr. Piskovic and he also has NOT paid his subcontractors.
The installer that is responsible of the visuals that you see in this posting, are named accordingly as this was an unfortunate matter between an experienced and established general contractor, an in-experienced subcontractor and her crew of misfits.
We believe in giving every person a fair kick at the can and benefit of the doubt to showcase honesty, integrity and character when hiring someone, but....
Carla Somogyvary of DNA Designer: hired on as project manager/ring leader at the time of this one project in particular and her trades people as shown samples of their quality of finish work. She is known to be a headcase, cause property damage to places in lieu of not getting paid when wanting to, as some sort of extortion attempt?
David Downey Painting - Verbally abusive painter who paints over unfinished drywall and requests payment when not completed his works. This joke of an individual is currently banned form operating in the city for being such a crook. Nothing but a mouthpiece who should wear a muzzle when entering an jobsite and banned from the kitchen fridge as well.
Graham: Dry-waller of whoms picture sample of work is attached to the review.... (we have yet to even meet this person but was hired by Carla as part of her team) Also requested to be paid when not completed his works.
Flooring Installers: Hired by Carla and also did not complete accordingly the scope of work. Just a lame threat that was gone with the wind when approached about not being paid.
Mike Rudge: Found out later, he is an unlicensed electrician whom is wanted by the ESA for installs and unfinished works like this one, no permits or inspections, projects resulting in costly delays and repairs for many, as you seen an example in the visual attachments. Was piggy backing permits and inspections from another electrician whom we had no idea about at the time.
Ryan Lahn: Self proclaimed union carpenter whom specializes in turning your simple 2 day woodworking task into a prolonged monthly science project when paid hourly and on the clock. Time fraud at its finest. Decided to just not show up for work one day out of the blue, leave an active job site on hold and open, with others waiting on the clock to watch a blue jays playoff baseball game (reason for his dismissal of employment)on the spot. But yet, still wanted to be paid.
Stay away from these sub-trades /contractors as this is the type of work and quality you will receive if they do work for you or other companies.
Unfortunately we were victims of their nightmare antics and it reflected on the Kindiaks as mentioned above. No proper licenses, invoices, paperwork or clearance certificates to name a few, just fake credentials and time fraud on our clock and dime.
Wendy and her husband are also one of a kind as well, and every general contractor experiences these types of clients once in a while, its just how the business goes and sometimes you just have to walk away from these headaches breaking even, not steal and run, in which they are accusing of. Was not ever the case.
We wonder why they did not claim for damages if their were no damages in the first place? No merit here for the fake posting once again, just another keyboard cowboy but yet verbal diarrhea for this masterpiece of a website.

Complaint: I was hired as a subcontractor to build a garage for Ultimate Concepts. After the garage was completed within the deadline given, Mr. Piskovic myself and my co-worker did a walkthrough of the garage. We all agreed that it was complete and both shawn and the homeowners were happy. He paid little more than half of what we agreed upon, and three days after the date agreed upon. After calling repeatedly for days and going to his office he finally answered. Apparently he had changed his mind and we were not in fact done. He refused to pay until we "fixed" whatever he pointed out, though they were more like changes that I should've charged for. Instead we did the work to get the rest of our money, which he asked the home owners to give us because he couldn't afford it. Very unhappy with the way things worked out, extremely unprofessional.

Nathaniel Dunn is a sub-trade unionized carpenter working side shifts for privates outside of his union agreement and commitments. In defense of the accused, Nathaniel at one time was a sub-trade hired to frame a simple garage. He did not complete his task in a timely and professional manner, was always late, the framing was not level, as also the timing was delayed, nor was it even complete to satisfaction for inspection in the first place. It had to be completed by another party just for the company to get an inspection and move on. There are numerous pictures of his works, which are being used in the current private legal matter in which he is claimed against for these reasons. If anyone would like to see these visuals, feel free to contact. You can state the same if you would pay this sub trade for the quality yourself in which you can asses as well. In all fairness to both parties involved. His union boss also visited the site and was not pleased in his carpenters work, and felt bad for what we had gone through as general contractors whom hired someone based on fake credentials and misleading experience. We treated him with trust, gave him what he needed and even paid for his lunches as he clearly stated he could not afford nor even have a place to rest his head at night. We were concerned but we also cared hoping this hiring would help him and turn some things around for him. It clearly did not for us, and at the time, we had paid him in full "prior" to his completion as we do not wait or watch people work and we have other better things to do than babysit "professionals". This trust pact was broken by Nathaniel on the spot that same day and we had no other recourse but legally while at the same time suffer with fake online slander and accusations which have and will never be proven whatsoever. This website is famous for this act of so called censorship. If anyone has issue with this posting or feels that this position is incorrect, PLEASE, by all means contact as we always entertain these issues and comments in person, not on any overemphasized review site like this one. All it is an all out wrestling ring for wrestlers without no real life referee. Internet and review chaos for the renovation niche market.
