Our renovations were extensive. The inside of our home was almost entirely renewed. Structural improvements to stabilize the floor were also undertaken.

We found Jackie to be very helpful in designing, advising and selecting materials. She kept close watch on progress and budgeted well, although we did exceed our own budget by choosing higher quality products.

We live in a rural area over one hour away from Edmonton. Despite the travelling distance, Jackie was always on site when she was needed and came out regularly to supervise the work. Communication was excellent as she was always available either by email, text or phone, even on week-ends.

Darryl with his work crews was efficient and precise. He was a good communicator and also very open to our modifications as work progressed. They took care not to inconvenience us, though we were not living in the house. At the end of each work day, the site was cleaned and refuse carted out. Workers were very willing to set aside discarded materials for which we had further use. Sub-contractors (flooring, tilers, painters, electrician) took pride in their work.

Jackie was intent on completing the project according to the agreed deadline (two months). However, due to underestimation of supplies by some sub-contractors, delays did occur. We preferred having quality work done rather than rushing to meet the estimated end date.

We have only two recommendations:

-take more time for the design of the kitchen details and have price comparison charts ready for various cabinet finishes and options.

-ensure recyclable materials (ie: cardboard) are not discarded.

Visualize by Design proved to be friendly, courteous and professional. We are very pleased with the finished project and would recommend them highly.

What can I say, I love my new kitchen and powder room! Jackie made it all possible for us, she took clippings I kept from magazines, talked to us about our wants and our needs. Her design was more than I visualized and we now have a beautiful kitchen to be proud of. The renovation completely altered our main floor. Jackie took space available by removing a dysfunctional pantry, added a window to bring in addition natural lighting. Overall she managed to provide us with more useable cabinets and much needed counter top space. Our kitchen is not just beautiful but functional, it has plenty of room to prepare for large family gatherings and large scale entertaining events we hold every year. Jackie and her crew were a joy to work with. Not really knowing what we wanted, she came up with great ideas and then she followed through by bringing in skilled tradesmen to get the job done. The carpenter and tile guys were both exceptional.

The project was slightly over budget and took longer than we expected but to be fair, we changed our minds a few times and she had to reschedule some of her subcontractors. We also added a few extras (e.g. extra bathroom remodeling) that was not in the original quote.

We now have a thoroughly modern house and both my wife and I are delighted with the finished product.

We hired Visualize by Design to renovate our kitchen as it was badly in need of some updating. I really appreciated the fact that the owner was able to come into the area and have a vision as to what would and would not look good in the space. The quality of the material and the contractors used was excellent. The other great thing was that the project was mostly completed in about 10 days and was totally finished in three weeks. This was fantastic as it is very hard to function with no kitchen! I would highly recommend this company and will be using them again to do our bathrooms.
