This is a company truly with no ethics. Ours is a small office renovation. The first bad sign was they gave us a quote only after they knew another company tried to bid on the contract. We waited for almost 2 months for the designer, Vivian Fung, and the contractor/owner, Ming Leung, for a quote. We chose them because we thought they are experienced. It is a big mistake. The reasons: (1) Their trade people don’t understand or speak English. (2) We had plumbing issue. The 'VMS project supervisor William' did not help us to solve the problem. Instead they waited for us, to come up with plan B. We can't afford any delay, so we've to do our own research & discuss with the plumber & found plan B. No thank you from VMS. William even said to us 'finding a solution to solve problem is not within my scope of services as a contractor or as a project supervisor'. He said he only suppose to coordinate other trades. (3) Flooring - the finishing showed that the floor is not levelled, there're gaps all over the unit around the baseboards. (4) Cabinets installation- we were told it’ll take 2-3 days, but it took almost a month, and was done completely wrong. They failed to realize the cabinet shop used a different, inferior and cheaper than the one we ordered. The 'VMS project supervisor' wasn’t aware of this mistake until we told him. 3 days after the installation. The owner of the cabinet sub-contractor admitted the mistake and promised a discount after consultation with VMS, and they tried to fix the problem. The cabinets aren’t made to the original designed specs. We have to live with their mistakes. William from VMS now saying that he would have noticed it AFTER everything is done and THEN we should complain, not at the beginning to try to rectify it. He completely ignored the time sensitive factor. (5) Stone countertop finishing - you can actually see dark shoe-prints and dark finger-prints on the white stone countertops underneath the finishing! VMS thinks there is nothing wrong with that. (6) There is no silicone seals on walls around sinks and was poorly applied, but VMS said it was done, saying ‘less is better’. (7) The wall in waiting area in the office is not painted properly. The paint job is so bad that it is full of patches. Our clients can see as soon as they walk into our office. VMS charged us a premium for their bad paint job. (8) Glass wall panels’ delivery was delayed for close to a month with no reason given. Pushing city inspection close to Christmas/ year end when everyone would be on vacation. The project was delayed for about 3 months. We called VMS owner multiple times, but he did not answer his phone. There is no customer-service, never mind customer satisfaction. (9) VMS delayed to install the frosted sheet on glass wall panels. For 4 weeks, there was no work done in the office, and no answer was given about the completion. We, the owners, have no choice, but to pay another company to have the job done. The office cannot operate with clear see-through glass walls. We have to start using the office regardless of numerous significant deficiencies.(10) Due to the multiple delays of VMS on the project, which they denied, our new equipment and furniture were ordered to be out of the supplier warehouse (it was year-end inventory time). So we have to move them to the office while the VMS is still installing cabinets. VMS did not bother to use proper protection to cover our assets. Our new equipment and furniture ended up with scratches and tons of dirt. We addressed this to the 'VMS supervisor’; he said it was not needed. If you are looking for a company with no work ethics, no customer service (don't return calls/ texts/ nor pick up phones), and no attention to details, this is the company for you. We have endless nightmares, sleepless nights and stress because of these VMS people 'the owner Cheun Ming Leung, and the supervisor William Yuen'. We have to deal with the mess they left us.
