Window Mart

Have been constantly contacting company as you can feel cold air coming in my windows. Now with the cold weather they are iced up. I keep getting told about humidity in my house but have a dehumidifier. My resolution is getting dodged. Do not have this company do business with you. They keep passing by the issue at hand and send me ideas out of their handbook. The issue is still ongoing. They do not backup their product warranty at all!

We have the windows and our front door replaced by Window Mart in Grande Prairie. Vitalie taught us about different window options. After full installation, we are absolutely satisfied with the final product. The house is way quieter now (My house is just behind 68 Ave, a noisy street in GP). Thank you Vitalie for your good suggestions, and for explaining to us the differences between double and triple-pane glass. We love our Awnings and especially the new Tilt and Turn in our basement. Installer did all my windows in one day. They are professionals, clean, and even vacuumed the floors after the installation. I will recommend Vitalie and his installers (Alex) to all my friends and family. I can not say with words how different my house is with new windows. Thanks guys, you did an amazing job.

Reposting since window mart deleted my review on google somehow, classy organization. Ordered 2 custom windows, 1 big bay triple pane and one large kitchen window. Price was in the middle of the 4 companies I received quotes from. Let’s be honest, windows are windows. The companies all claim superiority when it comes to their products, but there were no OMG factors that came into play with any of the 4 I met with. My Install was 1.5 months late after the 16 weeks promised date. Installers came just before Christmas to complete the install for year end. Temps were not favourable (-15 and snow) but kudos for them showing up.

Install took almost 11 hours for the 2 windows. Unfortunately they broke a section of triple pane on the crank out in the bay window. We were told the replacement wouldn’t be available until mid to late January. Their temporary fix was to use red tuck tape to hold all the glass pieces together until their return. It is now April 27 and still no replacement. Multiple calls to their service department go no where as all I’m told is it hasn’t been made yet and no forecast as when to expect it. Just keep waiting I’m told.

As a contractor myself I understand supply issues, delays out of one’s control due to shortages etc. This has gone beyond those excuses. I am always Leary dealing with larger companies so I only had them do these 2 windows as a test to see how they would perform. I’m glad I didn’t get them to do my whole house and my under construction new home. My case may be an oddity as I read the reviews which seemed mostly positive hence my choice. Unfortunately, until there is some remedial effort made to conclude this transaction, I would not, and will not ever recommend this business to anyone looking for windows.

Ordered windows and doors in May, was told an expected installation date end of July. Not a word from window mart in July. Tried to call early August, only got voicemail or hung up. Emailed them about my order. Called back a week later, still waiting on the delivery of 1 door. Ask if they could install in-stock windows & door. Dismissed that idea. Called back in September mentioning that it was getting too cold for my house to be open to the cold for hours, I have a young child. Booked install dates 2nd week in October. End of September, call and say there is an opening a week earlier. Agree to new dates. 3 days to do the job. Show up after 10 the 1st day & block my vehicle in. 2 men. One starts basement window that we are making bigger, he has to dig out the window well & break concrete, 1 of 2 biggest jobs. Other guy works on 1 window and 1 door. First guy finishes digging the window well & starts -jackhammering- the concrete. No concrete saw. This takes all 3 days. Last day they have the rest of the basement window & a 500lb bow window. It's a long day, they start after 10. Day 2 notice the other basement window is significantly smaller than ordered. Still have 2 most important windows left, so don't bother the installers, really want them to finish so we can leave for Thanksgiving before dark. I email the manager about window, measure it & find it is 46% smaller than ordered. Don't hear back until after Thanksgiving. Installers finish the install at 8:30pm, it's pitch black outside. Filling out the paperwork, don't give paperwork until they are ready to leave to make you feel rushed & so you don't notice how much they screwed you over, notice the cutout window is also significantly smaller than ordered. They had to do significantly less work, order less gravel to fill window well, order a smaller window & window well. This is not what I paid for but we want them out of our house so we make note of the problems & politely get them out. Contact me after weekend & manager comes to look. First thing he sees is the installers didn't remove the stickers & clean the windows. Show him the 2 problem windows & present my calculations of how much I have been ripped off. Ignores me for 3 weeks. After 2 weeks I call & leave a message and expect some sort of solution before the end of the month. On Nov 1 I call & ask to speak with him. He skirts my call (I was told he was in the office when I called) and I leave the message that I need to hear from him today. An hour later I get an email, they are not doing anything & I have to live with these problem windows with no compensation for their mistakes & incompetence.

Michael (Project Manager) was courteous, knowledgeable, responded promptly during the whole process. He brought cutaway windows to our home and explained the details of the frames, glass, seals, etc. He answered our questions regarding window characteristics, warranty, and many other items. The quote was clearly explained and was very competitive with the other quote we obtained.

The installation work by Sasha and his helper was done very well. We showed Sasha a few small marks on one particular wall caused by manipulation of a new window. Sasha removed these marks to our satisfaction.

Overall we were very happy with Window Mart and we would definitely recommend them to anyone we know that is contemplating new windows.

Window Mart is provided a good services.

From we met a sales person who explained very clearly and detailing what type the windows to be suitable for our home and feed our budget.

The windows removed and installation are so efficiency and cleanliness.

When my husband and I were looking for window we called Window Mart and we needed financing. They sent Max over to our house in Bruderheim. Both times he arrived right on time and explained in details. Max offered us a very good deal in financing so we went ahead with project. He was very honest, clear and made sure that we understood everything. I would recommend him to any customer at Window Mart.

We have had the worst experience with Windowmart that we have ever had with a company. We ordered set of doors, they did not arrive in the allotted time frame allowed. They have breached and broke contract, and have failed to return us our down payment money. Windowmart is the last company to provide service to consumers. Lux by far is the better and more qualified company to trust with your needs.

Our house is 30 years old with wood windows. So it's time to replace them. We contacted 3 window companies in Edmonton including Window Mart. The other two companies came to do a quick measurement and quoted us a price to replace the wood windows with vinyl windows. I have no idea what I will be getting. Then a gentleman named Michael from Window Mart came. He showed us a "sample" (a cut out corner of the real window) of what we will be getting (triple pane, argon filled, low E etc.) and even showed us the "casement" cranking mechanism. He then measured all our windows and discussed with us the total cost. To our surprise, the cost is a lot better than the other 2 companies.

Then came the installation. They sent two to four people to install all our windows. They worked from around 9 a.m. to about 9 p.m. everyday for more than a week! We are very impressed by their professional work.They are very serious in what they are doing. They are also very accommodating when we asked them to install some trimmings in some interior windows not specified in the contract.

Overall, we are very very happy with our new windows. We have no hesitation to recommend Window Mart if you are thinking of replacing your windows.
