Hi Michael, I've seen the same thing. I'm also very concerned that peoe are waiting to see what the economy will do before spending money. I am truly suprised to see sme of theople even looking at the type of work they are asking for. Be carefl for the next 6 months it might get very scary having lots of monet for materials and labour.

Hi Guys- thought I'd get out a Merry Christmas to you all & a big thank you for all the helpful feedback I've recieved on some of my threads- mostly on Clients- really hit a nerve there. Never expected that many of you to weigh in on the issue of bad clients. Being Christmastime, I won't bash bad clients, but heres to them enjoying their lump of coal & hoping they remember the golden rule: what goes around, comes around.

My thoughts for the New Year- we'll still be alright guys. Things will get a little lean, but no matter what happens to the economy, peoples houses will still fall apart. I find things quiet right now, but I'm hopeful the new year will brighten peoples outlooks a little. Take care fellas and all the best for 2009!

Hey Guy's I would like to wish you all the best wishes fort the holiday's and today being Dec/27/2009 it happens to be my birthday. I have been working on a couple of estimates that look promising for January/2009. I also wanted to say that if a customer is going to get other estimates then we should all keep a little card with everybody contact info on it. and start referring each other. By doing this we will be able to stop some of the cheap DIY guy's from stealing some of our jobs. In fact the customers will know that we trying to help them find a good contractor. The old saying is keep the money in the family and the family will grow. In return I have passed some of your names on to other clients already and if they call you and you get the job that is great. Most people don't like paying the prices I charge but I do get my share. On a couple of occasions customers booked with me right away because it is looks very professional if a contractor passes on another companies info. They tell me they booked with me after I started the job because I did pass your info on. I asked them to explain and they said it was because I cared enough to help them and I was not there just for the money! The where happy to have a company there that would pass on another companies info. some of them said that they did not call you other guy's because if a company was willing to help that much they deserve the business. One of our motto's at Abba's Service is Done Right! First Time1 Every Time! and the other is a company that cares for your home as much as you do! If I can not give them what they want I will pass your names on so email me your contact info if you wish. This is for serious contractors only. and maybe one day we all should get together for drinks coffee or some thing. Happy holiday's

Michael Keel
