Hi there,
I am trying to start my own business as a plumber in Montreal. I know the first step is to become a member of CMMTQ. However, the licensing exams seem "mission impossible' to me. Do I really have to study all the Building Codes of Quebec and Canada, Labour codes, Contraction Codes, etc....even Criminal Code ?!?! Isn't there something like a manual that will summurize all the necessary information for the exam?
I passed my Master Plumber Test in the USA only by reading Study Guide and doing a lot of practice question.
Any information regarding getting CMMTQ License will be welcome.
Thanks
Hello Nick,
Have you done an apprenticeship here in canada? Although alot of the C of Q is Independent learning, you need to go to trade school and get alot of hands on experience!
Another way might be from an administrative side. You don't need to be a licensed Plumber to start a Plumbing business.
