I have been doing handyman work for a while know and want to look into getting insurance for myself.
It needs to cover me on all the jobs I work on?
Anyone have any good places to go to? what is the monthly cost for this?
Thanks
Mark
You need liability insurance of at least $1M. The price is based upon your annual revenue. If you do $100,000/year then figure on around $80-$100/month. I deal with Bill Michea at Carson & Weeks in Markham.
Hi Mark,
I deal with Jones DesLauriers Insurance Management Inc and have a multi-tier $3Mil Liability setup with an umbrella too. I'd be happy to put you in contact with my insurance broker. We pay in the range of $450/mth i believe. I cannot stress how important it is that you carry insurance in this day n' age. If you have any questions, I ll be happy to help.
