Must mean that we are all busy. I've been quite busy since January which is got me thinking that decorating and other home improvements seem to be recession proof.

I'm extremely busy also, but I don't believe it's because we are recession proof. No matter the economy, things will still fall apart. People may not have the cash to fix things, so this is where the barter system & underground economy kick in. It's the new reality. And not only is it quiet in here, it's really boring. Hear that, Brad?

I have a few contacts in the business that don't think that there is a recession at all. One is a masonry supplier and he says that business is good. He was also in the business during the last recession where supplies dried up, which explains the butt ugly brick on his house. :) The other manufactures and supplies a variety of items to many different industries, he says they are business as usual.

All I know, is that I am busy, recession or not.

Hey Brad- the pics are great, I just have not had time to post them. I got quite a few new pics I'd like to upload, but this dial up net is a major pain in the southern regions. Price ya pay for the fine country livin, I guess (I have cows come to the fence in my backyard- kids think it's pretty cool- and it IS bar-b-que season you know, lol).

One thing I have noticed lately with this economy- and because we've all mentioned the heavy increase in new "contractors" out there- my closure rate has dropped quite a bit. My prices are the same, & in some cases I drop them a little, yet people have that many more contractors to call, so eventually they will pay the price they want. We here all know the quality of work these folks will receive for the bargain prices they get- but because people are still a little nervous about their jobs it seems that quality is taking a back seat & if they can get it cheap enough, they're not to worried about it. Anyone else notice trends like this?

Anyway- enough of my problems- glad to hear everyone is doing well & hope you all have a great summer.
