It all depends on how high the walls are how big the area is and if it is ceilings, walls and trim.

$6 Million Dollars.........lol....no seriously, there is no way to tell you how much without seeing the garage. Period. Everything would be a guess and that really doesn't work for either the customer or the contractor.

Hi there

If we talk about standard garage door my best guest will be 650$ but if you need primer or we need to sand the door the price will be higher, you know it's very difficult to quote a job without picture of this job

Best regards

Eric

Good evening,

Most contracts could not answer this question without first knowing the details or even making a site visit. To be honest your question is quite vague and is open to interpretation that would alter the outcome of a quote. Positively or negatively. And may even keep the contractor out of the running (consideration for the job) because he has been misled by the question and provide costs on a quote that were not necessary. A contractor needs just as much information (if not more) than the potential client needs on a detailed quote.

What is the Sq/Ft of the garage, how high are the walls. Is the garage just bare wall board, therefore needing primer first. Will the garage be empty when the contractor arrives, or will he need to spend time moving heavy furniture/objects to the middle of the room before he starts? With respect to the hallway, are you in need of just walls painted or trim and ceilings, again, sq/ft, how high are the walls? You mention skylights, so does that mean you are looking for the ceiling to painted, is it flat, textured or even a drop ceiling (I have been asked to paint a drop ceiling, red).

As you can see, more information is needed before I can give you a rough ball park figure..

Take care and good night.

Ian

It is hard for a contractor to give an estimate without see the work involved. This would give a wrong estimate for the customer as well as a wrong estimate for the company. As professional contractors it is hard to estimate any job without a visual or more details. Please contact a company and give more details or a photos of the work in question.

A small garage would be around $700 to $ 800. Doors and trim can range from $150.00 and up depends on the work involved.

Hope this helps but for future, easier to call a company and give more details.

Have an awesome day.

Hi there, It's impossible to give you a meaningful quote without seeing your garage and entrance. For instance, not sure if you want interior or exterior of the entranceway painted and need to know the size. The cost of the garage painting (assume exterior) depends on how much prep work is involved.

The other contractor are right you need to provide far more details. Your Garage Door can take 3 hours or 2 days depending what it's made of.

Hi There,

Typically in any renovation project there are many variables and therefore it is impossible to give a unit price (such as per square foot) etc. its like asking someone 'how long is a piece of string ?

It really helps if the home owner supplies approx. dimensions together with photos and a good description of what they want to achieve. This means the home owner must put a bit of work into it which will result in the service provider or designer getting back to you with realistic estimates.

The home owner should also remember to have reasonable expectations regarding timeline, don't call today and expect the work to start tomorrow.

Good, qualified people will usually have work in hand and will therefore need a reasonable amount of notice., and if your are not sure about a building permit, call the City or the Municipality and they will tell you. It really costs very little to build safely in complience with the law and building code. Remember if your house puts the inhabitants at risk because of faulty construction is it really worth it...

Hello Lindsay,

Well it is difficult to give you a rough estimate without seeing the job. Main reason is I'm not sure how much prep work there is. If there is scraping and sanding involved before painting. Also is the door wood or metal.

I figure on average $500 to $600 for the garage door and around $125for the mandoor. So lets say $700 for everything labour plus materials.

Hope this helps.

Thank You

Hello,

It is virtually impossible to give a quote without exact measurements of both the garage and the entrance way that you are looking to have done. Cost of materials very's greatly on size as does the time and number of people doing the work. This is one of those jobs that you would have to ask a contractor to come in and view the scope of work, then they would be able to price out supplies, time and labor and give you a quote from that.

Sorry we couldn't be more help, good luck with your painting job.

Thank you,

Hello Lindsay.

Hard to give you a quote without seeing the actual job. In construction it's not possible to give accurate quote or even blindfold one.

Is there trim? Baseboard? Doors? High ceilings? Bulk heads? Etc. These are factors that we need to know to quote you. It's not like a mechanic, it's a part to change and fixed rate.

Thanks
